Abstract: A pliable combined support for decorative lighting comprises a receiver light mount having a light retaining notch and an insert light mount having a light retaining notch. The receiver light mounting bracket assembly is provided with an elongated channel with a tangential extrusion with holes for mounting to a surface or structure and gripping points for receiving lights. The insert light mounting bracket has an elongated insert with a tangential extrusion with holes for mounting to a surface or structure and gripping points for receiving lights. The receiver and insert mounting brackets may be coupled for a rotational frictional attachment whereby the lighting may be displayed in a fixed position along a building, structure, or surface. The receiver and insert mounting brackets can also provide a storage method that will allow lights to be stacked or boxed without tangling.

Abstract: An illuminating ribbon has a decoration ribbon and a flexible circuit board with light-emitting devices. The decoration ribbon has two long sides, in which one of the two long sides has a sewing line. The flexible circuit board with light-emitting devices is disposed on the decoration ribbon and fixed to one long side of the decoration ribbon via the sewing line. The flexible circuit board with light-emitting devices includes an insulator with flexible flat surface; first and second electrical wires; N light-emitting devices; and a power device. The first and second electrical wires are embedded in parallel into the insulator with flexible flat surface. The N light-emitting devices are connected to the first and second electrical wires. The power device is connected to the first and second electrical wires to supply power to the N light-emitting devices and thus to generate light on the decoration ribbon.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method of its use to temporarily or permanently display decorations, signs or lighting. The device is especially suited for displaying from a structure, such as under the eave of a house. The inventive device is capable of conveniently rotating an attached display or lighting arrangement in and out of view, at will. It is particularly useful for the permanent display of holiday decorations, including string-lights and to display them during the holidays but remove them from sight during the remainder of the year.

Abstract: An apparatus creating a flickering flame effect. The apparatus includes a housing with an interior space with first and second stages. A drive mechanism generates a time varying electromagnetic field extending into the first stage. A first pendulum member is pivotally mounted in the interior space of the first stage and includes first and second magnets on first and second ends, with the first end proximate to the drive mechanism such that the first magnet interacts with the varying electromagnetic field to cause movement of the pendulum member. The apparatus includes a second pendulum member pivotally mounted in the second stage with a magnet on a first end proximate to the second end of the first pendulum member. A flame silhouette element extends from the second pendulum member, and a light source transmits light onto the flame silhouette, which is moving due to the magnetic coupling of the pendulum members.

Abstract: The LED decorative lamp contains a three-terminal LED device, a flexible core for the plugging of the three-terminal LED device, and a seat for the configuration of the flexible core. The seat contains three terminal plates for the electrical contact with the three terminals of the LED device. A lamp string formed by connecting multiple such LED decorative lamps enjoys accurate flash timing, thereby achieving appealing lighting effect.

Abstract: An improved three dimensional display such as a Holiday decoration having collapsible constructions having a shape memory internal frame. In one embodied form, the unique display includes a collapsible internal frame formed, in part, from metal wire imparted with suitable memory characteristics. Such metals are referred to as “shape memory alloys” (SMAs) because much metals “remember” their original shapes. Accordingly, the present invention uses a deformable internal metal frame supporting an outer sheath formed from suitable materials such as fabric, or plastic film for the skin of the inventive three dimensional displays.

Abstract: A method and a combination for assembling of an illuminator and a decorative cover made of polyhedron structure, imprinted with design motifs and/or used in restaurants and other service institutions for decoration and for commercial presentations including menus and listed service. The polyhedron cover is an incomplete structure short of at least one geometric surface or is truncated having attachment flaps around the missing or the truncated geometric surface for attachment to an illuminator base. The illuminator base includes slots to enclose the flaps, locks to attach the flaps and a rotating actuator that is used as a rotating base for the illuminator to enable the rotation of the cover around a stand or a support to review the imprinted motifs or menus around the cover. The base further includes at least one switching device and the actuator includes activator for said switching device and the illuminator is actuated by rotating and pushing or pulling the cover.

Abstract: An ornamental fixture having a support structure and a plurality of ornaments mounted to the support structure in a substantially completely spherical arrangement of ornaments. The ornaments may be glass crystal ornaments, for example, octagonal glass crystals, and a light may be mounted within the fixture. The support structure may include an upper support ring and at least one lower support ring vertically spaced from the upper support ring and a plurality of arcuate sector assemblies removably mounted to the upper support ring and the at least one lower support ring. The sector assemblies retain the ornaments to provide a substantially continuous 360-degree array of ornaments. The sector assemblies can also be disassembled from the support structure for maintenance, servicing, relamping, and cleaning of the fixture. For example, the disassembled components of the fixture may be washed in a dishwasher without damaging the ornaments or the support structure.

Abstract: A lighting system includes a rod rotatably mounted between a first support and a second support, and a light cord attached to the rod, the light cord including a plurality of light strings having a first end attached to the light cord and a second end free from the light cord. Each light string includes a plurality of lights. Each of the plurality of light strings have a use position in which the second end dangles from the rod and a stowed position in which each of the plurality of light strings are substantially wrapped around the rod. The lighting system further includes an activating mechanism for rotating the rod to transfer the plurality of light strings between the use position and the stowed position.

Abstract: Decorative or protective appliqués' or trim panels having a wide range of decorative patterns may be formed by injection molding a backing layer behind and a transparent outer layer on the top surface of a thin foil, film, fabric or veneer. Use of multiple layers of decorative film, transparent plastic and colored/opaque plastic is also disclosed to provide distinguishing visual effects. The appliqués and trim panels may be backlighted or edge-lighted selectively by providing a light source behind or optically coupled to a runner molded as part of the transparent outer layer.

An apparatus comprising the combination of a translucent sheet and a backlight LED panel or colored light source (colored lamp(s) or LED(s) in an alcove) provides a diffuse light when light from said panel, alcove, or other source is presented to the translucent sheet, is scattered, and represented as unfocused light on the exposed surface of the translucent sheet. Usage of the apparatus in an operating room provides a calming environment. The method and apparatus may be adapted to include wireless control over the intensity, color, and on/off state of the light. Further, usage of known translucent materials provides a sterile and safe surface.

Abstract: An LED light string assembly has a plug for providing a low DC voltage, an extension socket, a light string connected between the plug and the extension socket. The light string has multiple LED Christmas bulbs connected in parallel. Each LED Christmas bulb includes an LED and a resistor connected in series. Even one of the LED Christmas bulb burns out, all the remaining LED Christmas bulb of the light string will not be affected and still can be normally turned on as required to generate light.

Abstract: An aqua-lamp-based candle-like lighting device includes a stand accommodating therein an incandescent lamp assembly that is engageable with a power source to generate heat. The stand has an open end in which an aqua-lamp base that defines an internal chamber is mounted. An illuminator for lighting purposes is arranged at an opening of the chamber. Thus, the heat generated by the incandescent lamp assembly is employed to cause a liquid contained in the aqua lamp base to flow and show a shining effect; and the illuminator of the internal chamber serves as a twinkling night lamp. As such, the aqua-lamp-based candle-like lighting device shows dual interests of visual effects in both light twinkling and liquid flowing.

Abstract: A decorative lighting article is disclosed. The article includes a string of lights, such as miniature bulbs for holiday lighting. A mesh sleeve is placed substantially surrounding the string of lights. The mesh sleeve is preferably flexible and translucent. Thus, light passing through it is diffused and creates a unique appearance. The sleeve may be colored or clear. Ideally it is formed of a flexible material such as a nylon material. Additional decorative items may be attached to the exterior of the sleeve, such as ribbons or trinkets. Preferably, the sleeve is non-flammable.
