  • Patent number: 6582114
Abstract: A rotating fiber flasher system is provided that supports a light guide or plurality of light guides capable of accepting energy from a light source and transmitting that energy to a plurality of optical fibers supported by a manifold. The system produces a light flash by illuminating the optical fibers successively as the light guide rotates. The optical fibers transmit the optical flashes to a luminaire which refracts or reflects the optical flashes about a desired arc. The fiber flasher system allows an optical signal to be periodically generated in a plurality of directions around a 360° path, and requires less power to operate than systems which attempt to provide optical illumination about an entire 360° arc continuously, 2&pgr; steradian hemisphere or 4&pgr; sphere.

The cylindrical collar fastens a handle at its inner rim and holds a ring gear at its outer perimeter. The rotary hub comprises a pair of symmetric disks for eccentric rotation. The inner perimeter of the disks forms a clamp rail for the ring gear to rotate along. The loaded illuminant element comprises two illuminant wheels and a spur gear going between. The spur gear meshes on the ring gear. When the player waves the circlet, the eccentric rotation generated in the rotary hub produces a centrifugal force causing the illuminant element to circumnavigate along the ring gear; besides, the illuminant element produces a fantastic glare providing great fun in practice.

Abstract: When the vehicle body rolls to the oncoming lane, a light source bulb is turned to a direction opposite to a rolling direction to keep the posture of the light source bulb in an erect state. Abstract: This invention relates to a lighting fixture support with a pivoting mounting bracket. More specifically, this invention is aimed at providing a well-type lighting fixture for use in outdoor, below ground lighting settings which is easily positioned at various angles with respect to the ground. The inventive mounting bracket comprises a first bracket which is connected to a second bracket at a pivot point. One or more dimples on either of the brackets are operatively connected to one or more sets of ratchet teeth on the other bracket. The dimples and sets of ratchet teeth cooperate to secure the first bracket into discrete positions about the pivot point with respect to the second bracket.

Abstract: A boat light apparatus comprising a mounting block, a main upright pole, a lamp boom, a main head lamp and a bait lamp. The apparatus has a generally tubular shaped lamp boom with a distal end, proximal end and mid-region. The head lamp is attached to the distal end of the lamp boom and the bait lamp is attached along the lamp boom behind the head lamp. On the proximal end of the lamp boom is a grip handle perpendicular to the lamp boom. The lamp boom is pivotally attached in its mid-region to the main upright pole. This pivotal attachment allows the head lamp to be positioned along the vertical plane. The main upright pole is generally a tubular shaped mast with a top end and bottom end. The lamp boom is pivotally attached near the top end of the upright pole. The bottom end of the upright pole is coupled to a mounting block. The mounting block has an inner cavity to receive the bottom end of the upright pole and allows horizontal rotation of the head lamp.

  • Patent number: 6375339
Abstract: A lighting apparatus which enables a shade to be easily attached, detached and rotated with a simple structure and an enhanced degree of freedom in design. Grooves 9,10 defining arc-shaped portions 15,16, respectively, are formed around an axis of a head 4, to which is mounted a fluorescent light bulb 7. A shade 8 which is formed with protrusions 17, 18 opposite to the grooves 9, 10 is mounted to the head 4 so as to cover the fluorescent light bulb 7. By pressing the protrusions 17, 18 of the shade 8 into the grooves 9, 10 of the head 4, the shade 8 can be very easily mounted to the head 4. By lifting up the shade 8 from the head 4, the shade 8 can be very easily removed from the head 4. In addition, the shade 8 can be rotated by allowing the protrusions 17, 18 formed on the shade 8 to slide along the arc-shaped portions 15, 16. As such shade 8 allows a simple integral structure, degree of freedom in designing a lighting apparatus can be enhanced.
