The first finger and the biasing portion extend in a generally upward direction from a portion of the base portion; however the first finger is angled away from the reflector while the biasing portion is angled toward the reflector. The biasing portion exerts a force on the side of the reflector when the first finger portion is compressed inwardly towards a side of the reflector. The reflector assembly is installed into a collar by inserting the reflector assembly into the collar and allowing first finger to compress toward the reflector and then away from it.

A post flange limits the insertion depth of the upper threaded portion through the shade. The taper threaded segments include right handed pipe threads for tightly engaging the light fixtures and reduced thickness spaces separating the taper threaded segments allowing easy shortening of the lower portion. An unthreaded shoulder adjacent to one of the reduced thickness spaces lengthens the separation of the taper threaded segments below the unthreaded shoulder from the taper threaded segments above the unthreaded shoulder which facilitates the attachment of known light fixtures.

Lastly, a hollow finial (40) is threaded onto the nipple to a position abutting the bottom of the outer cap so as to lock the position of the light diffusor and outer cap. The D-shape of the nipple and surrounding mounting holes prevent the nipple from rotating relative to the inner and outer caps.

The light bulbs have a pivoting light socket that allows the bulb and socket to be positioned substantially below the top surface of the stator when the light socket is in its horizontal position, parallel to the top of the stator. Tilting the light socket upward, toward a vertical position, allows the light bulbs to be easily replaced, especially if the trough-shaped light pan is deep or narrow.
