Abstract: LED lamp beads with multiple light-emitting points comprising a certain number of luminous bodies and package resins; in which after at least two luminous bodies are connected in parallel, they are wrapped in a package resin and connected to an anode pin and a cathode pin inserted into the package resin. The present invention structure is simple and has a rational design. By using one-way conductive luminance on the LED luminous bodies, and using parallel and inverse parallel connections on multiple light-emitting points, control of the electric current direction is achieved, and thus the control of the operating modes of luminous bodies and the LED lamp beads with multiple light-emitting points is achieved.

Abstract: Interfaces for electrical (e.g., lighting) devices involve use of electrically conductive edge contacts arranged on or protruding from edges of printed circuit boards (PCBs) that provide or facilitate electrical connections to first and second externally accessible electrical contacts, such as may include threaded and foot contacts of a lighting device including a screw-shaped male base. First and/or second edge contacts of a PCB may protrude through first and second openings in a housing to form first and second externally accessible contact, or directly engage first and second externally accessible contact elements associated with (e.g., retained by) the housing. A contact element retained by a housing may define a slot in the interior of the housing to directly engage an edge contact of the PCB. Abstract: A solid state lamp, such as one that can replace an incandescent light bulb, has a base portion having an electrical connector for connection to a source of power, such as an Edison-type connector for connection to the mains voltage. An AC/DC converter in the base converts the mains voltage to a suitable light emitting diode (LED) drive voltage. A plurality of receptacles on the base connects to electrodes of plug-in modules. Each plug-in module supports a plurality of low power LEDs connected in series. The strings of LEDs on different modules are connected in parallel when connected to the receptacles. The modules and base are configured to allow a user to operate the lamp with different combinations of modules to generate a desired light output from the lamp. For example, the user can recreate the lumens equivalent of a 20W, 40W, or 60W bulb by using one, two, or three modules.

  • Patent number: 8733984
Abstract: The problem addressed by the present invention consists in providing an LED luminaire which corresponds to the known shapes for incandescent bulbs both in terms of contour and size and which enables illumination similar to that of an incandescent bulb by means of the light-emitting means both in terms of the emission response and the luminous intensity of said luminaire. The heat sink which is required for technical reasons and which bears the light-emitting means itself predetermines the shape of the incandescent bulb and the emission of the LEDs for this purpose. The heat sink can in this case be in the form of one body or can comprise a plurality of separate heat sinks, which are arranged about a central axis so as to be associated with the respective light-emitting means.

Abstract: An LED retrofit lamp which has one end which is configured to engage a standard light bulb socket, such as an E26 or E39 socket. The other end provides a plurality of LED's—a center section of LED's pointing downward, and a plurality of LED's going around a perimeter of the center section, generally pointing outward. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp 10 includes circuitry which is configured to take the voltage received from the light bulb socket, and use that voltage to drive the LED's as well as, preferably, a fan which tends to keep the LED retrofit lamp within prescribed temperature tolerances. Preferably, a protective shield, such as a plastic protective shield, covers and protects the LED's. Furthermore, preferably the LED retrofit lamp includes louvers which allow the fan inside to grab air from the outside, and allows the hot air to escape. Preferably, the LED retrofit lamp is generally lightweight.
