Patent number: 4947089Abstract: An apparatus for selectively controlling a plurality of electric motors for driving individual work objects, the apparatus including an electrical switch which is adapted to produce predetermined speed signals for the electric motor selected, a programmable controller disposed in signal receiving relation relative to the electrical switch and which is adapted to generate a predetermined signalling sequence in response to the signal received from the electrical switch, a variable speed motor drive electrically coupled with the programmable controller, and with the electric motor selected, the variable speed motor drive selectively driving the selected electric motor at a predetermined speed in response to the signalling sequence received from the programmable controller, and a sensor adapted to indicate the work performed by the electric motor whereby the electric switch may be selectively adjusted to control the operation of the electric motor selected.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1989Date of Patent: August 7, 1990Assignee: Abel Manufacturing Co., Inc.Inventor: Donald B. Patent number: 4844619Abstract: A mixer for mixing materials, such as coarsely chopped meat, during a mixing operation prior to a grinding operation, is provided with a tub (12), mixing means such as one or more paddle assemblies, and an auger (34) in the bottom of said tub. Both the auger and the paddle assemblies may be operated in either a clockwise or a counterclockwise direction. An auger housing (38) extends from the tub and houses a portion of the auger (34) which extends from an end of the tub. An opening is provided in the auger housing (38), which is surrounded by a hopper (40). Loading of the mixer is accomplished by feeding the meat into the hopper (40). The meat passes through the opening in the auger housing (38) and is introduced into the auger (34) so as to be conveyed into the tub (12) by the auger (34) during the loading operation. The direction of rotation of the auger (34) may be reversed in order to unload the mixed meat from the mixer. A discharge means (56) cooperates with the auger (34) for unloading the mixer.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1987Date of Patent: July 4, 1989Assignee: Weiler & Co.Inventors: Nick J. Patent number: 4739907Abstract: A cylindrical developer storage and dispensing cartridge with a dispensing opening at one end has an integral developer transport mixing and antibridging member rotatably supported within the container which has a first coiled spring element having a cross section substantially the same as the cross section of the container and freely rotatable therein which is wound in the direction to transport developer along its length toward the dispensing opening and a second coiled spring element having a cross section substantially smaller than the first spring element but being substantially concentrically positioned and being attached to the first element but wound in a direction opposite to the first spring element to provide a counter rotating motion relative to the first spring element.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 1987Date of Patent: April 26, 1988Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventor: Joseph A. Patent number: 4712919Abstract: A continuous soil mixing apparatus including a series of soil feed hoppers and a mixing chamber, all supported over an elongated, endless, single conveyor belt to carry layers of soil of different compositions from the different feed hoppers to the mixing chamber. The first soil hopper remote from the mixing chamber incorporates a soil agitator and deposits its soil directly upon the conveyor belt, while the remaining hoppers incorporate independent feed belts above the conveyor belt.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 1987Date of Patent: December 15, 1987Assignee: Bouldin & Lawson, Inc.Inventor: Floyd E. Patent number: 4223811Abstract: A machine for mixing , metering and dispensing fluids such as polyurethane, elastomers etc., composed of a number of fluid components. A valve assembly, during a recirculation cycle, receives a component from a source and returns the component to the source. During a shot cycle, the valve assembly directs at least part of the component into a mixing chamber which receives a component from another valve assembly to mix them and form, for example, polyurethane. In one embodiment, the valve assembly has a partition which divides the component entering the assembly into at least two channels, both of which direct fluid back to the source. One of the channels also has a port communicating with the mixing chamber. Each channel has a rototable ball valve, in which the one channel ball valve is rotatable to direct a predetermined amount of fluid to the mixing chamber and to the source.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 1975Date of Patent: September 23, 1980Inventor: Imre Czegledi
