Abstract: Apparatus for mixing and improving the quality of sauces including a mixing vessel supported on a housing, said housing having a funnel shaped inlet through which the ingredients pass. An annular rotor is rotatable with respect to a stator member, the sauce ingredients being acted on by the same to produce a smooth, improved product. A passageway provides repeat circulation of the mixture through the apparatus and a tap is provided to withdraw the completed sauce.
Abstract: An inner auxiliary mixing bowl having an upwardly extending tubular post is removably nested within the outer mixing bowl of a food processor. The tubular post of the inner bowl is tapered with the upper, smaller end thereof being positioned closely about the uppermost end of the shaft and adjacent to the underside of the cutting tool that is driven by the motor of the food processor. Thus, the likelihood of the processed food passing between the inner surface of the tubular post and the outer surface of the driven shaft is minimized. This thereby reduces the likelihood of contamination of the interior of the motor by the processed food. The inner mixing bowl is made of a plastic material that permits it to be heated and frozen thereby vastly increasing its utility. In addition, a removable cover is provided for the inner mixing bowl so that the content thereof may be readily transported.
Abstract: A spiral stirrer unsupported at one end, for mixing and stirring free-flowing solids, especially in continuous gas phase polymerization. The stirrer comprises a plurality of turns formed from hollow profiles. The botton end of the spiral, facing the bottom of the stirred vessel, is attached to a hub seated on a drive shaft. In the vicinity of the transition from the hub to the first turn of the spiral, a distributor spiral is provided to avoid flowless zones in the hub region. Uniform distribution of the gas entering at the bottom of the vessel is also achieved.

Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing low density, cured urea/formaldehyde resin foams includes a centrifugal mixing head comprising a casing and an impeller rotatably mounted therein, the casing having an inlet directed generally axially with respect to the axis of rotation of the impeller and an outlet directed generally tangentially relative to said axis.
Abstract: A multi-chamber pack comprising at least two chambers separated by a frangible partition and externally operable means for breaking the partition, and means for mixing the contents of the chambers. The mixing means are formed by an agitator element operative by rotation, more particularly one or more vanes, said element being disposed rotatably in one of the chambers. An actuating element is disposed rotatably on the outside of the pack and is coupled to the agitator element so as to rotate therewith and serves to drive the latter. The means for breaking the partition are in the form of a push rod fixed to an inwardly deformable wall part of the pack.
Abstract: A food processing appliance has a base and removable bowl with a cutter mechanism therein which is supported on and driven from a power unit in the base at selected speeds. The invention provides an improvement of a removable reducing transmission disposed directly in and removably coupled to form and close the bottom wall in the bowl and having a portion extending into the bowl for supporting the cutting mechanism. The transmission is disposed entirely external to the base and is driven from the base whereby the selected removable bowl can only be connected to the base for food processing when the transmission is coupled directly to the bowl.
Abstract: A mobile pet waste liquifier including a main frame provided with a handle portion, a pair of wheels, a blender motor mounted on a shelf carried by the main frame and located above the wheels, a receptacle, carrying a blender blade assembly and a top lid, mounted relative to the blender motor, and arms fixed to the main frame in combination with a flexible band to retain the receptacle and blender blade assembly in place atop the blender motor. A kick stand is pivotally carried at the bottom portion of the main frame.
Abstract: In a food processor, comprising a rotated shaft and blades, or the like, removably fastened to the shaft, with the blades being located in a food processing vessel, the vessel having a bottom surface which is generally frustoconical in shape, with the cone projecting up into the vessel; the blades inside the vessel are also inclined correspondingly with the bottom of the vessel.
Abstract: Premixing apparatus includes a number of elongated interdigitated rotors and stators. At least some of the rotors and/or stators include a first longitudinal portion with a transverse axis oriented at a first angle with respect to the horizontal axis and a second longitudinal portion with a transverse axis which forms an acute angle with the transverse axis of the first portion.
Abstract: Processing of certain foodstuffs in a high speed food processing apparatus is facilitated through the use of a flexible, non-ductile food basket, the shape of which is restored by the bowl when the basket is inserted into the bowl.
Abstract: Disposable bowl is adapted to fit into a toilet bowl and to be supported thereby. It contains a blender blade assembly in the base thereof and a lid or cover is provided which can be secured to the container after same has been used. A connection extends into the bowl adjacent the upper side for injecting water or other fluid to wash down the sides of the bowl and also to dilute the stool specimen which may then be blended by engaging the device upon a conventional blender base. A further tube extends through the wall of the bowl for extraction of the necessary sample after blending whereupon the entire assembly may be disposed of without opening same.
Abstract: The center portion of the lid for a high speed food processing apparatus is flexible, preferably transparent and is supported by a rigid lid support member. The outer portion of the lid is stiff so that the center portion acts as a spring when compressed by the support member onto the edge of the bowl of the food processing apparatus.
Abstract: The lid support member for the lid of a high speed food processing apparatus supports a mixing baffle blade through the center of the lid. The mixing baffle blade assembly carries a lid scraper which rotates with the mixing baffle blade in contact with the inner surface of the lid to remove foodstuffs from the inner surface of the lid. Friction from the lid scraper helps present the mixing baffle blade from freely rotating when its axis of rotation is not vertical.

Abstract: The mixing apparatus comprises a mixing container with vertical axis which mixing container comprises an interior space and an outer annular space, communicated with the interior space by an annular gap. Within the interior space, there is performed a size reduction of the material to be mixed into granulated material which enters the outer annular space through the annular gap. The annular gap has comb-like openings so that only parts of small size are allowed to pass through.
