  • Patent number: 8708049
Abstract: Methods and devices for mixing a first fluid with a second fluid downhole include a chamber having a first end, a second end and an opening for fluid to flow there through. A top surface of a perforated piston is capable of contacting the second end and a top surface of a piston is capable of contacting a bottom surface of the perforated piston. The perforated piston is located at a first position within the chamber based upon characteristics of a first fluid. A first fluid delivery system supplies the first fluid and a second fluid delivery system supplies a second fluid to the chamber, wherein the second fluid is at a pressure that moves the piston approximate to the first end. An actuating device applies a force against the bottom surface of the piston to inject the fluids through channels of the perforated piston to produce spray droplets.

  • Patent number: 4293229
Abstract: Hydraulic controls for the injection unit of an injection molding machine of the type which has tandem supporting bridges riding on two guide rods and hydraulic cylinder assemblies surrounding the rods, the cylinder assemblies in the rear supporting bridge which control the movements of the plastification screw being convertible from single-acting cylinders to double-acting cylinders with a differential piston, for the selective connection to a first hydraulic control system which has presettable proportional-response control valves for the adjustment of the pressure and flow rate of the hydraulic fluid, or to a second hydraulic control system which provides a continuous electronic control input to a servo-valve, adjusted by an electronic feedback loop with pressure transducers. The conversion involves the exchange of a piston and a cylinder cover in the two cylinder assemblies of the rear supporting bridge.

  • Patent number: 4272199
Abstract: A mixing container in which two or more completely incompatible materials may be packaged, stored, and prior to use mixed together. The mixing container comprises an exterior container and one or more interior containers. The largest volume material of those being stored is placed within the exterior container. The other incompatible materials are placed within the interior containers, respectively. A shaft extends into the exterior container. Affixed to the inner end of the shaft is a rotor. The shaft and the rotor can both rotate and move axially of the shaft. Each of the interior containers are breakable and may be broken by contact with the rotor. The rotor is also capable of completely mixing the contents of each of the containers whereby various incompatible materials may be completely and homogeneously mixed prior to use. The exterior container of the invention may be modified with a nozzle and means for dispensing the mixture through the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 4168899
Abstract: Apparatus for the processing of exposed photographic negatives and prints consisting of a tank containing thermostatically controlled fluid in which are immersed one or more processing containers having the active solutions therein. A holder supporting the sensitized element with an agitator having elements facing the sensitized surface are assembled and placed within the container. The agitator has an extension which permits vibration of the agitator manually and/or electrically from outside the container which the active solution is reacting with the sensitized surface within the container.

  • Patent number: 4082251
Abstract: The two coupled vertical-lift slides of a mixing head for multicomponent plastics are formed with recesses which, in the rest position of the mixing head, form part of the mixing chamber wall so that a stripping rod, whose diameter is greater than the minimum interval between the vertical-lift slides, can be pushed through, preferably perpendicularly of the vertical-lift slides, to scrape out the mixing chamber.

  • Patent number: RE37137
Abstract: A milk jug with froth-forming device for making cappuccino and the like, including a container body that can be closed with a lid that supports and guides a froth-forming element, which is constituted by a plunger element associated with a rod that protrudes from the lid. The plunger element has a disk-like element formed by a circumferential rim that is connected, by spoke-like arms, to a central hub in which the rod is inserted. The spoke-like arms retain a mesh affecting the entire surface of the disk-like element, and the spoke-like arms decrease in thickness from the hub towards the outer rim to provide flexibility on the outer portion of the disk-like element so as to increase the inclusion of air particles inside the liquid upon a reciprocating motion of the plunger element.
