Movable Stirrer Patents (Class 366/64)
  • Patent number: 4194925
Abstract: A method and apparatus for washing a mixing container or tube includes a network of piping mounted within the tub. The piping is interconnected to a pumping system operable for delivering a washing fluid, such as a liquid, to the piping. The piping includes spray outlets which may be selectively directed toward walls and internal components of the tub for Washing residue therefrom. The washing liquid may be retained within the tub as a portion of the liquid required for a subsequent mixing operation.

  • Patent number: 4157872
Abstract: A mixing-tank trailer is provided comprising a trailer frame supported on a differential housing which encloses half-axles having wheels attached on the outer ends thereof. The differential housing includes a central output shaft disposed normal to the half-axles and coupled to be driven by the half-axles through differential gearing. A cylindrical tank disposed lengthwise on the frame is provided with a rotatable internal shaft having mixer blade members attached thereto for mixing a liquid carried in the tank. The internal shaft is coupled for rotation by a reducing gear arrangement driven by the central output shaft which is driven by the rotation of the wheels of the mixing-tank trailer as it is being towed by a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4097926
Abstract: The invention provides a paddle shaft assembly for a mixing apparatus of the horizontal drum type wherein rotating mixing paddles contained within the horizontal drum can be removed for cleaning or replacement without disassembly of bearings, drive components or drum supporting structure. In particular, the drum is fully supported by mounting structure located externally of the drum, a quill shaft being disengageable from a drive shaft at one external end of the drum and removable from the drum through an opening at the other end of the drum to enable removal of the paddle shaft assembly without altering the drum structure in any way whatsoever.

  • Patent number: 4091462
Abstract: In a mortar compounding apparatus wherein water, cement, aggregate and sand are admitted into a mixing tank at a predetermined ratio and admixed to form mortar, there is provided a control apparatus including detection blades rotated by a constant torque motor via a spring in the mixing tank or a detection tank connected thereto. The load imposed on the detection blades by the mortar is detected by a potentiometer for controlling the amount of water or solid constituents admitted into the mixing tank.

  • Patent number: 4075711
Abstract: An upright concrete mixing chamber having an inlet formed in the top thereof and an outlet formed in the bottom thereof is supported in a lowered position upon a horizontal working surface so as to provide operator access to the inlet when the operator is standing upon the working surface. A plurality of elongate members are pivotably connected at one end to a base member in engagement with the working surface, and at the other end are pivotably connected to the mixing chamber so as to define a parallelogram that is generally horizontal to the working surface when the mixing chamber is in the lowered position.

  • Patent number: 4071226
Abstract: A portable proportioning mixer, adaptable to mix concrete or other material, such as fertilizer and plastics, including a plurality of separate hoppers with discharges at their lower ends; a conveying and mixing trough adapted to receive materials from the hoppers, and a transporting vehicle for carrying the hoppers and mixing trough. The mixing trough is adapted to be carried on the vehicle in a non-receiving position during transportation, the trough being pivotally mounted on the vehicle to be rotated from the non-receiving position to a receiving position to receive materials from the hoppers; the mixing trough having a lower end positioned under the hopper discharges when in the receiving position and having receiving openings complementary to the hopper discharges.
