  • Publication number: 20130148475
Abstract: The column wheel (40) for a 3 stroke mechanism has a hub (46) arranged at the centre of a superstructure exhibiting rotational symmetry of order n, the superstructure including n radial arms (48) and n columns (44) parallel to the axis of rotation of the column wheel, the columns being regularly distributed along the circumference of the column wheel and separated from each other by n empty spaces forming as many openings between the columns. The column wheel is characterized in that the width of the columns (44) is larger than the openings between the columns, and in that the width of the arms (48) is less than half the width of the columns (44).

  • Patent number: 8235584
Abstract: The present invention concerns a chronograph control device including a first, pivotably mounted lever, which is activated by a first push-button and whose movement in the direction of the first push-button is limited by a first stop member, and a second, pivotably mounted lever, which is activated by a second push-button and whose movement is limited in the direction of the second push-button by a second stop member. A spring is mounted on the second lever. The first lever is associated with an arm, provided with a beak. The beak cooperates with the spring such that, when one or other of the two levers is activated by one of the push-buttons, the beak and the spring move relative to each other in such a way that the beak is subjected to the return force of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20120069717
Abstract: The column-wheel (1) for a chronograph includes: a ratchet (2) provided with a plurality of teeth (3) the shape of which defines the direction of rotation of the column-wheel; a superstructure coaxial to the wheel and having n>=3 order rotational symmetry, the peripheral part of the superstructure forming n columns (10) parallel to the wheel axis and arranged substantially along the periphery of the ratchet (2), each column including an outer part, the cross-section of which is substantially shaped like a truncated triangle with a base substantially parallel to the circumference of the wheel and a front side (12), called the leading edge, and a back side (13), called the trailing edge, extending from the base towards the interior of the wheel. The column-wheel is characterized in that said cross-section is asymmetrical, a first angle ? between the leading edge (12) and the base (14) being smaller than a second angle ? between the base and the trailing edge (13).

  • Publication number: 20110149695
Abstract: The invention concerns a chronograph including a chronograph train, means for coupling said train and a device for controlling the coupling means, which includes: a pivotably mounted shuttle, a first angular sector of which is provided with two notches defining first and second stable angular positions, and a second angular sector of which includes cut out portions, an elastic member cooperating with said notches to keep the shuttle in one of said stable positions, and a push-piece cooperating with said cut out portions to pivot the shuttle, via a first application of pressure, from the first stable position to the second stable position, and via a second application of pressure, from the second stable position to a third intermediate angular position.

  • Patent number: 7946754
Abstract: A clockwork movement includes a control member actuatable by a control lever in response to a user's action and having the form of a column wheel. The control member is rotatably mounted on the clockwork movement frame around an axis X, perpendicular thereto, for controlling first and second mechanisms exhibiting at least one movement function such as chronograph or alarm function. The control member includes rotationally fixable first, second and third parts which are mounted on a shaft at first, second and third levels, respectively, in a direction of the axis X for interacting with the control lever and for controlling the mechanisms. The shaft which is pivotally mounted with respect to the frame is arranged in at least two bearings, which are positioned remotely to each other for ensuring the shaft good stability, whereas the second and third parts are located on the both parts of the frame.

  • Patent number: 7021818
Abstract: The coupling wheel (17) is brought into friction with an intermediate second wheel (19), or, conversely, to moved away therefrom by a fork (16) formed in the large arm (22) of an L-shaped coupling spring (20), articulated at the joining portion of the two arms (22, 24) on an adjustment plate (30), the small arm (24) of said coupling spring (20) having its end stressed by the end of a control lever (10). Means for guiding (32a, 32b) and positioning by a cam screw (38) allow the distance between the small arm (24) of the coupling spring (20) and the end of the control lever (10) to be modified, which thus allows manufacturing tolerances to be compensated for.

  • Patent number: 6926438
Abstract: The invention concerns a chronograph mechanism of the type comprising a chronograph train (22) including: a coupling lever (16) for ensuring the movement of a coupling wheel, between a first position in which the mechanism is operating and a second position in which the mechanism is not operating, and a control lever (26) activating the coupling lever (16) to make it pass from one position to another. In this mechanism, the control lever (26) carries a locking member (36) and the coupling lever (16) a catch (20) cooperating with the locking member when the coupling wheel (14) occupies its first position, such that the coupling lever (16) is prevented from moving via the effect of a shock when the chronograph is operating.
