  • Patent number: 7293912
Abstract: A timepiece, in particular a wristwatch, includes a constant-force device for acting on an oscillating system, the constant-force device including a switching unit and a tensioning module having a primary spring-energy store and a secondary spring-energy store. A seconds shaft bearing a seconds wheel and a cam plate is driven to rotate constantly by the secondary spring-energy store. The seconds wheel drives the oscillating system, and the cam plate acts on the switching unit for the periodic tensioning of the secondary spring-energy store by the primary spring-energy store.

  • Patent number: 6805482
Abstract: This invention has for object to propose an operation level indicator device for watches with double spring barrels, both those with manual winding and those with automatic winding. This scope is reached by an operation level device, having two spring barrels 1, 2, one for winding 1 and the other for unwinding 2, a star wheel 3 integral with a display means 17. According to the invention, the winding spring barrel includes a winding pin 9 actuating a winding lever 4 dragging the star wheel 3 into positive rotation, the unwinding spring barrel 2 includes an unwinding pin 10 actuating an unwinding lever 5 that drags the star wheel 3 into negative rotation, the latter being maintained in its position by a catch 8.

  • Patent number: 5119348
Abstract: In the mechanical selfwinding watch movement with an oscillating winding weight, the winding weight and the spring barrel driving the movement are pivoted coaxially, in the center of the movement, above the winding and the movement gears. The winding weight and the spring barrel have substantially the same thickness and they are on the same level. The spring barrel occupies almost the whole space in the path of the heavy sector of the winding weight. Due to the permissible size of such a spring barrel, the latter is able to store up an energy sufficient to keep the movement running during eight days at least.
