For More Than One Day (e.g., Eight-day Clock) Patents (Class 368/247)
  • Patent number: 11688021
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes maintaining a reminder store comprising one or more reminders for a first user, wherein each reminder is associated with an initial activation-condition, determining a context associated with the first user based on signals from a client system associated with the first user, determining a suppression-condition associated with at least one of the reminders is met based on the context, and suppressing the at least one reminder for the first user.

  • Patent number: 10893135
Abstract: A method and an apparatus of data processing are disclosed. The method includes obtaining a message including a non-triggered event; determining an event type and a triggering time of the non-triggered event according to the message; and providing a reminder for the non-triggered event according to the event type and the triggering time, and/or controlling a state of the mobile terminal according to the event type and the triggering time. By determining a triggering time and an event type of a non-triggered event, a prompt may also be made before the triggering time even if a user has read the information. Alternatively, the user may also be helped to adjust the state of the mobile terminal to a state related to the event type, so that the mobile terminal is in a state required by the user during the execution of the non-triggered event, thus improving the user experience.

  • Patent number: 10757057
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing a system to facilitate efficient management and prioritization of conversations, such as emails, in a communication application. Conversations may be prioritized according to user preferences, and an inbox may be rearranged to display important conversations in a user defined order. Conversations may also be associated together so that they may appear together and flow together in the inbox. Additionally, the system may enable a user to delay display of a conversation until a later time based on various criteria such as location, time, and client device. A user may also move important emails to the top of an inbox for prominent display. The system may perform the actions automatically based on observed user behavior. Furthermore, the system may enable touch interactions for interacting with and managing the conversations, and quick controls may be provided for executing commands to perform actions associated with the conversations.

  • Patent number: 7109848
Abstract: A notification system that reminds and/or alerts a digital media capture device that a media event that warrants capture is imminent. The notification system is implemented in conjunction with a digital planner such that event reminders are placed in the digital planner of a digital device and alerts are then sent to an associated digital media capture device proximate to the occurrence of the media event. The alerts may be sent to internal digital media capture devices or the alerts may be sent to external digital media capture devices that are remote from the device on which the digital planner is implemented.

  • Patent number: 6934220
Abstract: A portable programmable medical alert device can be used to program multiple events, each of which will be signaled by an audible and a visual alarm. The user can program and reprogram medication schedules using only the portable alert device. The device, including a battery powered microcontroller, can be programmed by manipulation of two input switches, a push button switch and a two position to prevent inadvertent programming. Each programmed event will be signaled at the same time of day at which the alarm was originally set. When the alarms are transmitted to a user, the alert or reminder can be acknowledged by pressing the push button switch. The user can also activate the device prior to the next scheduled alarm without affecting subsequent alarms or alerts. Outputs can be audible and/or visible outputs, including an LCD. Inputs can be alternatively programmed by computer.

  • Patent number: 4241441
Abstract: An electronic timepiece having time indicating hands and an alarm time indicating hand which can be set to an alarm time within a range of twelve hours. Alarm time setting can be performed such that an alarm warning is produced the first time that alarm time coincidence is detected, and at subsequent times separated by 24 hour intervals, or such that the alarm warning is produced the second time that alarm time coincidence is detected, and at subsequent times separated by 24 hour intervals. Greater resolution for alarm time setting is achieved than for a timepiece in which the alarm time is set within a 24 hour range.
