The body includes a lid mounting portion, and a lid receiving portion includes a thread and lid receiving surface on the side of an interior of the body with respect to the thread. The back lid includes a lid plate superimposed on the lid receiving surface and a holding ring. The lid plate includes an annular projection on a peripheral surface thereof and the lid marking on the front surface thereof. The holding ring includes a thread screwed in the thread. The holding ring is mounted on the lid mounting portion by screwing the both threads, and an annular projection is clamped between the ring and the lid receiving surface to fix the lid plate. A detent portion is provided on the lid mounting portion. An engaging portion to be engaged with the detent portion is provided on the lid plate.

Abstract: A timepiece has a case band having a front side end part that projects inwardly toward the hollow interior of the case band and terminates in a front opening. A case back is detachably attached to a back side end part of the case band. A glass is fixed to an annular edge member that seats on a front face of the front side end part. The edge member has a tubular part slidably inserted into the front opening and threadedly engaged with an annular attaching member in the interior of the case whereby the front side end part of the case band is sandwiched and held between the edge member and attaching member. By detaching the case back and using a tool to unthread the attaching member from the edge member, the edge member and glass can be removed as a unit from the case band for repair or replacement.

Abstract: The wrist watch case of this invention includes a caseband-back provided with supports for retaining a movement assembled from above the caseband. The caseband-back is provided with a circular opening having a diameter substantially greater than the diameter of a circle circumscribing the movement. The opening is blocked by a cap which is fixed to the caseband-back by fastening means arranged at the exterior of said circumscribing circle and at a level located above the lower face of the movement. The cap is provided with notches arranged and adapted to cooperate with a wrench supplied to the watch user thereby to open or close the cap and thus permit changing the battery. The wrench may form an integral part of the bracelet buckle.

Abstract: A back cover fixing structure for a wristwatch, which comprises a case band having a plurality of inwardly projecting portions provided on an inner wall of the case band and screw holes provided in respective ones of the inwardly projecting portions, a back cover having a plurality of through-holes, and a plurality of screws set in the screw holes of the case band through the through-holes of the back cover for fixing the back cover to the case band.
