Having Rotary Excavating Tool Patents (Class 37/209)
  • Patent number: 9394659
Abstract: A snow blower comprises a frame, an auger, a fan, a hydraulic system, a rotating drum, a securing mechanism and a disengagement mechanism. The auger is rotationally mounted to the frame, and is adapted for collecting snow. The fan is mounted upon the frame, behind the auger, and evacuates the collected snow in the rotating drum. The hydraulic system rotates the rotating drum with respect to the frame. The rotating drum defines a pair of teeth about a circumference thereof. The securing mechanism is affixed to the frame, and includes on one extremity a pair of complementary circular cams, and on a second extremity a pressure mechanism for applying pressure on the pair of complementary circular cams to keep the pair of complementary circular cams engaged.

  • Patent number: 9200419
Abstract: A snowblower assembly for removing snow from a paved surface, such as roadways and airport runways. The snowblower assembly includes a snowblower assembly that defines an open interior that encloses a pair of rotating side augers and a rotating impeller. The snowblower housing includes a lower leading edge that is recessed behind the blade tips of the rotating impeller. The sidewalls of the snowblower housing each include a recessed lower sidewall edge to reduce the buildup of snow within the snowblower housing. A side plate extension is mounted to each of the sidewalls to modify the volume of the open interior defined by the snowblower housing to accommodate different types of snow.

  • Publication number: 20040093767
Abstract: A control apparatus for an implement such as a snow thrower, the control apparatus comprising a handle having at least two substantially upright portions and a cross portion extending between the upright portions. A first bail is pivotally connected to both upright portions of the handle to pivot about a first axis. A second bail is also pivotally connected to both upright portions of the handle to pivot about a second axis that is not co-linear with the first axis. The first and second bails are both separately movable between an engaged condition and a disengaged condition. Both the first and second bails are independently operable from one another, and move in the same direction with respect to the handle when moving from the disengaged condition to the engaged condition. The first bail may control a first mechanism, and the second bail may control a second mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6163986
Abstract: A manually operated machine, which requires minimal physical effort and does not produce harmful pollution, is provided for throwing snow or other debris. The machine includes a frame supported by at least one wheel that actuates at least one rotating blade or brush when the machine is pushed forward. A handle is provided to facilitate pushing the machine and a shroud is provided to help direct the snow or debris and shield the operator from misdirected material. A pivoting mechanism allows an operator to direct the thrown debris to either side by pivoting the blade or brush. An adjustment lever and a pivot lock are provided to facilitate the pivoting action.
