Abstract: The object is to provide an obstacle-removing device for a removing obstacles on guideway, which is simple in configuration, low in manufacturing cost, and can remove the obstacles steadily and effectively, and of which the brushes for sweeping the running surface can be retracted easily when the device is in the rear side of traveling direction of the vehicle. The device comprises; a vertical frame positioned to the leading end in traveling direction of the vehicle, and a lifting/lowering device attached to the said vertical frame to lift and lower a brush holder attached to a vertically movable member which can be lifted and lowered by the lifting/lowering device, the brush holder having brushes for removing obstacles on the guideway; wherein the brush holder is pivotally attached to the vertically movable member such that the brush holder is tilting forward when the brushes held by the brush holder contact the running surface to perform obstacle-removing operation.
Abstract: A method and device to further remove snow left by a locomotive snowplow while enhancing traction and control of a locomotive or powered car. The snow removal enhancement method and device typically include a flap arranged to extend beyond a bottom edge of a locomotive snowplow over each rail. The flap loosens and removes residual snow, as well as other debris, left by the snowplow. The device handily removes snow while being constructed of the thinnest material possible.

Abstract: A scraping implement that can be quickly coupled and uncoupled to a conventional self-propelled snowblower for the removal of snow from a driveway or sidewalk. Drop pins releasably hold the frame of the implement to opposite sides of a snowblower housing. The implement has a concave curved plow mounted on a frame for angle adjustments. A bolt extends through a swivel plate and the frame to hold the plow at the selected position. The frame is laterally adjustable to fit different sized snowblowers.
Abstract: A mobile ballast regulating machine comprises a machine frame supported by undercarriages on the track for mobility therealong in an operating direction, a vertically adjustable ballast plow arrangement comprising a substantially vertical ballast damming wall extending transversely to the longitudinal extension of the machine frame to the opposite machine frame sides, a respective ballast guide plate associated with the damming wall at each machine frame side, each guide plate being adjustable to define a desired angle with the respective machine frame side, and a cover plate preceding the damming wall in the operating direction and connected to the damming wall, the cover plate extending substantially parallel to a plane defined by the track and immediately above the running surfaces of the rails, and the cover plate including opposite ends associated with the rails and extending in the direction of the longitudinal machine frame extension, each cover plate end projecting obliquely downwardly towards the bas
