Abstract: A snowplow blade removably attachable to a vehicle for contacting and plowing associated snow over a road guard rail as the vehicle moves. The snowplow blade includes a snowplow surface defining a trajectory for displacement of the snow between a lower substantially front-facing road-contact edge and an upper substantially side-facing outlet edge. An interface member provides removable attachment of the snowplow surface to the vehicle. The upper side-facing outlet edge is sized and positioned to project snow above a top surface of the road guard rail, thus reducing the accumulation of snow at the base of the guard rail.
Abstract: A snow plow deflector for a straight snow plow blade is provided including a center section having a plurality of spaced-apart recesses formed therein, and two outer sections, each also having a plurality of spaced-apart recesses formed therein, wherein each of the outer sections are positioned to align with opposite side edges of the snow plow blade, respectively, with the center section secured thereover such that the recesses of the center section interfit and seat within the recesses of the outer portions and secure thereto. The plurality of recesses provided along the width of each deflector section permits the overall width of the deflector to be adjusted to fit a variety of snow plow blade widths.
Abstract: A snow deflector apparatus that easily attaches to a snowplow, a kit that includes two snow deflector apparatus and a control system, and to a snowplow system that includes two snow deflector apparatus and a control system. The snow deflector apparatus includes a deflector plate, a deflector plate rotator mechanism and at least one spring. The deflector plate is dimensioned to obstruct at least a substantial portion of the end of the blade of the snowplow such that an amount of snow that is sloughed off of the blade is minimized when the deflector plate is in a deployed position.
Abstract: A snow deflection system for a snowplow includes an arcuate foil and a preferred belt. Both the foil and the belt are attached to the moldboard of the plow so that the preferred belt keeps the plowed snow close enough to the moldboard to allow the arcuate foil to direct the flow of snow and air, which blows over the top of the moldboard, down and away from the plow vehicle.

Abstract: A snowplow deflector assembly is attachable to that type of snowplow which is mounted on the front end of a vehicle. The deflector assembly comprises a deflector member which is supported to extend over the top of the blade of the snowplow to deflect snow moving off the top of the blade, that snow being thereby substantially prevented from being thrown against the windshield of the vehicle and obstructing the view of a driver. Two embodiments of the invention are described.
Abstract: An attachment, with self-contained springs, removably attached to the upper edge of a snowplow blade and designed so as to prevent snow from moving over the plow blade while plowing snow and to deflect the snow laterally away from the plow blade.
Abstract: A blade device composed of a support frame mounted on the front end of an earth moving machine, a pair of blade members, whose each inside end is pivotably connected to the center of the front portion of said support frame and a pair of cylinder mechanisms interposed between said pair of blade members and said support frame. On the front surface of said support frame, a protecting plate covering the interconnecting portion of each said pair of blade members and said support frame is fixed.
