Mounted Rearwardly Of Vehicle Patents (Class 37/435)
  • Publication number: 20140123524
Abstract: A backhoe assembly for securement to a common road vehicle, such as a pickup truck. The backhoe assembly includes a horizontally extending rigid trailer hitch receiver insert for insertion and retention into the vehicle trailer hitch receiver and a rigid support column is provided having one end detachably secured to the vehicle rear bumper and the other end secured to the trailer hitch receiver insert. An articulatable backhoe arm is secured at its proximal end to the rigid support column for pivotal movement of the backhoe arm in vertical and horizontal directions. A drive is connected to the backhoe arm for articulating the backhoe arm whereby the work loads applied by the backhoe arm to the vehicle are equally born or supported by the vehicle trailer hitch receiver and the rear bumper.

  • Patent number: 7673700
Abstract: An earthmoving scraping device including a bowl-shaped frame having a front end, a back end, and opposing first and second side walls extending upwardly from a floor. The first side wall, the second side wall, and the floor define an interior of the frame for transporting material over a surface. A mechanism is configured for adjusting the frame to change the height of the frame relative to the surface. A push block is mounted adjacent the back end of the frame and includes a bumper. A linkage system pivotally connects the push block to the back end of the frame and is configured to maintain a consistent height of the push block from the surface when the mechanism adjusts the frame to change the height of the frame relative to the surface.

  • Patent number: 7647984
Abstract: A push block, a scraping device and a method for collecting a material are provided. The scraping device has a frame, a blade attached to the bottom of the frame, a tongue attached to a front end of the frame and a beam attached to a back end of the frame. Tires are connected to the beam. The scraping device has a front lift mechanism at the front end of the frame and/or a rear lift mechanism at the back end of the frame. The front lift mechanism has a front cylinder connected to the tongue and the front end of the frame. The rear lift mechanism has a rear cylinder attached to the back end of the frame. Movement of the front cylinder and the rear cylinder results in raising and/or lowering of the corresponding ends of the frame of the scraping device. The push block is pivotally connected to an arm and pivotally connected to a tire beam. The arm and the tire beam are pivotally connected to the back end of the frame.

Abstract: A working vehicle in accordance with the present invention is provided with an engine mounted on a front portion of a vehicle body frame constructing a traveling vehicle body, a backhoe arranged on a rear portion of the vehicle body frame, a mower device arranged below the vehicle frame, a seating detecting means detecting a seating of an operator in a control seat on the traveling vehicle body, an engine stop mechanism stopping the engine, and a shift control means for controlling so as to increase and decrease forward and backward moving speeds of the traveling vehicle body. Further, in consideration for a safety at a time of an excavating work by the backhoe, the structure is made such that the engine stop mechanism is actuated at a time of operating the shift control means in the case that the seating detecting means is in an on state, and the seating detecting means is retained to the on state regardless of the seating of an operator in the case that the control seat is directed backward.

  • Patent number: 7600480
Abstract: A tree spade (40) that is mounted on an all terrain vehicle (12) is disclosed. The tree spade (40) includes a support frame (48) that is able to pivot relative to the all terrain vehicle (12) between a transport position and an operational position. A blade frame (70) is mounted on and movable relative to the support frame (48). At least two blade assemblies (85) are mounted to the blade frame (70) for digging holes, lifting a tree and a corresponding dirt core, and supporting the same during transport. A pulley system (110) is interconnected with each of the all terrain vehicle (12), the support frame (48), and the blade frame (70) such that operation of a single actuator (74) moves the blade frame (70) along a column (54) of the support frame (48) and also pivots the support frame (48) relative to the all terrain vehicle (12).

  • Patent number: 7581341
Abstract: A design for a wheel loader. The wheel loader has two units connected back to back via a pivot. Each unit has a base unit that is easily disassembled into parts no more than 8 feet wide for transport by using steel plates connected by sleeves, shafts and nuts. A dipper arm arrangement connects the base to a high capacity bucket arrangement of 300 cubic yards. Hydraulic cylinders raise and lower the bucket arrangement and tip the bucket arrangement for dumping. The hydraulic cylinders are operated by hydraulic pumps which are operated by diesel engines. A rotatable cab sits on top of the base to provide a view for an operator.

  • Patent number: 7284621
Abstract: Tractor towed ground levelling apparatus includes an elongate cutting edge mounted on a cylindrical steel beam. The beam carries road wheels and is connected to a foldable drawbar hitched to the plough arms of the tractor. Alternatively, the drawbar may be connected to the drawbar of the tractor through a height adjusting mechanism. When folded the drawbar is nestled against the beam and can be hitched to a road vehicle. The road wheels lift when the drawbar is unfolded, lowering the beam to the ground. The beam has a skid bar that skids over the ground in use. The cutting edge is mounted close to the skid bar and positioned so that its ground engaging edge is level with and parallel to the skid bar. The cutting edge is lifted or lowered by the plough arms or the height adjusting mechanism.
