Abstract: A resilient excavation bucket for use with a piece of machinery having an articulated arm. The excavation bucket comprises a resilient member and a rigid member. The resilient member has a digging edge adapted to deflect in response to pressure from impact with a material at least as rigid as the digging edge and to return to a substantially non-deflected condition upon release of the pressure. The rigid member is cooperatively associated with the resilient member and has a connection member adapted to pivotally engage a portion of the articulated arm of the piece of machinery. At least one of the resilient member and the rigid member at least partially defines a bucket cavity disposed at least partially between the digging edge and the connection member. Additionally, an excavation apparatus comprising a backhoe having an articulated arm and the resilient excavation bucket operatively associated with the articulated arm.

Abstract: An adapter for permitting non-standard work tools to be attached to a work machine for which they were not originally sized to fit. The adapter comprises a sleeve which fits into bores on the work machine. Pins for attaching the work tool to the machine in turn are inserted through the work tool and into the sleeves. The sleeves protect the joint through seals positioned both on an outer surface of a flange of the sleeve, and on an inner surface of the bore of the sleeve. The sleeves also include holes for permitting lubricant to pass from the sleeve's outer circumferential surface to its inner circumferential surface. The sleeves may be permitted to rotate relative to the work machine via bearings in the bores of the work machine.

An elongated blade that is attached to the extension of each side arm, and the first hydraulic cylinders extend and retract the extension within the metal tube, thereby causing the elongated blade to extend and retract. The present invention further comprises two second hydraulic cylinders, which cause the elongated blade to be raised or lowered in relation to the front edge of the bottom plate of the construction bucket.

Abstract: A device in a part (1, 24) of a mining or construction vehicle including a wear protection structure (3-9,14, 25, 27), which is intended to comprise a portion of the part that is subjected to wear from abrasive material during loading or dumping. Said wear protection structure has grooves (10-12,15, 26, 28) having an extension that extents at an angle to a general movement direction of abrasive material against the wear protection structure during said loading or dumping. The wear protection structure is positioned such on the part that said abrasive material passes it during loading and/or dumping. The grooves are widening towards an outer surface of the wear protection structure. The invention also concerns a part including such a device.
