Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for establishing a communication path between devices that are virtually proximate in an XR environment. First and second user devices are connected to the same space in a virtual environment (VE). The first user device is externally connected to a media device. Device information about the media device is retrieved, and a virtual device for the media device is generated in the space. The virtual device is selected. A communication path between the first and second user devices is identified based on their respective connections to the same space. A virtual connection is generated based on the identified communication path for providing media content between the media device and the user devices.

If any of the helpers accepts the request for help, the system connects that helper to the existing call between the caller and the callee, resulting in a conference call among the caller, callee, and helper.

A group-based communication system may support domain and invite management, for example, for a group-based communication channel. A first user may create a channel invite and may add an email address for a second user to the invite. The second user may have multiple accounts in the group-based communication system. The system may determine that the domain of the second user's email address has an organization configured as the primary organization for the domain, and the system may automatically configure the invite to correspond to an account for the second user that is associated with the domain's primary organization. The system may route the invite to the account associated with the primary organization and may send the invite (e.g., a channel invite to the group-based communication channel) to a second user device associated with the second user.

The method may also include the wireless device determining an error condition associated with the data packets. The error condition may be, for example, non-receipt of any packet (e.g., data packets and/or non-data packets) prior to expiration of the timeout period and/or detection of a gap in sequence numbers associated with the data packets. The method may further include the wireless device, based on the error condition, transmitting a NACK. Abstract: A system and method for monitoring calls or other communications between two parties by a monitoring service. The system may be configured to determine whether the caller is a known or unknown caller. In the event that the system determines that the caller is an unknown caller (i.e., not in either of a “good” caller or “bad” caller database), then the system may process dialog between the two parties to determine whether a potential fraud is being committed. The processing may be performed using artificial intelligence (AI) in real-time. In response to determining that a potential fraud is being committed, the call may be interdicted by automatically adding a third party, such as a security agent, to the call. The system may be configured to selectively play a pre-call message to a non-subscriber of the monitoring service to notify the non-subscriber that the call is being monitored.

Abstract: An audio communication endpoint receives a bitstream containing spectral components representing spectral content of an audio signal, wherein the spectral components relate to a first range extending up to a first break frequency, above which any spectral components are unassigned. The endpoint adapts the received bitstream in accordance with a second range extending up to a second break frequency by removing spectral components or adding neutral-valued spectral components relating to a range between the first and second break frequencies. The endpoint then attenuates spectral content in a neighbourhood of the least of the first and second break frequencies for thereby achieving a gradual spectral decay. After this, reconstructing the audio signal is reconstructed by an inverse transform operating on spectral components relating to said second range in the adapted and attenuated received bitstream. At small computational expense, the endpoint may to adapt to different sample rates in received bitstreams.

A device (e.g., a user device) may initiate, via a web browser and in a first tab of a set of tabs of the web browser, a video conference session of a video conference application. The device may render a visual component in a user interface of the video conference session that indicates enablement of tab navigation functionality for the video conference application. In some examples, enablement of the tab navigation functionality may be based on an extension being installed in the web browser. The device may then receive an input via the visual component to visually distinguish the first tab for a duration of the video conference session, and cause for display a visual marker associated with the first tab for the duration of the video conference session based on receiving the input.

Abstract: One disclosed example method includes a video conference provider establishing a main meeting of a video conference and multiple associated sub-meetings at the request of a host client device associated with a host of the meeting. Each notification identifies a list of sub-meetings from which a participant can select a sub-meeting to join. Video and audio data indicative of the content being displayed on a plurality of smart TVs is compared to stored data in a content recognition database to determine what content is being viewed by each of a plurality of viewers at a given time. Viewers watching the same content are invited to become members of a watch party, and the televisions of those who accept the invitation are operatively connected to one another in a peer-to-peer network, enabling them to view the watch party content on a watch party screen that displays the watch party content and images or graphical icon representations of each other member of the watch party who is watching the content. Watch party participants can communicate with one another on the watch party display orally, using text messages in a text message area of the display, or by projecting emojis in the content region of other participants' displays.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically detecting issues during screensharing in an online meeting. The system and method allow automatic status notification of screensharing, which facilitates efficient and convenient use of virtual meetings. The system and method also use a live status indicator to provide constant and continuous data about the health of the ongoing screensharing session, which prevents computer and network resources waste on status inquiries. The system and method also recognize a problem/issue of the content-sharing and provide virtual meeting participants real-time action guidance to optimize the quality of content-sharing.

Responsive to an interaction with the message at the phone device, the phone device is connected to the virtual meeting in which the telephone call is maintained as the audio channel at least for the audio-only caller. The specific form and content of the message is based on whether a client application associated with a web service used to implement the virtual meeting is installed on the phone device.

Abstract: A power management method to improve a power-on effect of a multi-node system is disclosed. In the power management method provided in the present disclosure, after a power management module delivers a power-on instruction to each node in the multi-node system, a PCH of each node loads a BIOS from a local flash to perform a power-on process. Compared with the prior art in which a PCH of a master node is responsible for loading BIOSs of all nodes in a multi-node system, the method provided in the present disclosure can reduce burden on the PCH of the master node, and accelerate a power-on speed of the system, so that a better power-on effect is achieved. The present disclosure further provides a related multi-node system.
