  • Patent number: 8654821
Abstract: A fractional rate converting filter in a wireless transceiver comprising a delay line, multiplier circuit, adder circuit, and selector. The delay line receives a digital input signal at a first sample rate and has delay blocks each providing an output and receiving samples gated at a plurality of clock cycles of an integer sub-multiple frequency of a clock. The outputs are multiplied by corresponding filter tap coefficients. Each filter tap coefficient is spaced by a first integer Y. The adder circuit receives and sums the tap outputs to provide an output signal. The selector iteratively shifts the coefficients by a second integer Z. The output of each delay block is multiplied by corresponding shifted filter tap coefficients. The delay blocks are inhibited from receiving another input sample during the plurality of clock cycles. The output signal has a second sample rate at the integer sub-multiple frequency of the clock.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods are provided for transmitting messages over a serial interface. A method comprises receiving a first signal at a first time and receiving a second signal at a second time, the second time being after the first time. If a difference between the second time and the first time is less than a threshold time period, the method comprises generating a first message that is representative of the first signal and the second signal and transmitting the first message over the serial interface. In accordance with one embodiment, the threshold time period is equal to one half of an interface acquisition delay time period associated with the serial interface.

  • Patent number: 7995504
Abstract: Systems and methods storage of adding a node entry to a routing table of an inquiring node of a data network are disclosed herein. An inquire message is transmitted to a publishing node. The publishing node can be configured to publish a routing entry which can be added by nodes of a network. An acknowledgment response can be received from the publishing node. The roundtrip time elapsed between transmitting the inquire message and receiving the response can be measured by the inquiring node. For all node registration entries in the routing table of the inquiring node a determination of whether the inquiring node is closest in locality to the publishing node than to a node corresponding to each node registration entry can be performed. Such determination can be made based on (a) the roundtrip time between nodes (b) node IP address prefix matching.

Abstract: Systems and methods for resolving signal-to-noise ratio margin difference n dual latency discrete multi-tone (DMT)-based xDSL systems under colored noise conditions. Rather than assuming a constant power spectral density (PSD) for noise over fast and interleaved data paths of a dual latency system, band edges vulnerable to colored noise are determined and data on the fast data path is allocated away from these band edges. Also, receive windowing may be used to further enhance performance.

  • Patent number: 7706319
Abstract: A method of initiating a set up process for a call between users with reduced set up times using one or more 3G telecommunication networks. The method includes establishing a bearer channel between a first terminal and a second terminal after a call signaling process and determining, at the first terminal, one or more preferences for a call between the first terminal and the second terminal. The one or more preferences are associated with one or more modes of operation for the call. The method also includes determining a mobile level for operations and interleaving the one or more preferences, the mobile level for operations, and one or more media streams. The method further includes transferring the one or more preferences, the mobile level for operations, and the one or more media streams from the first terminal to the second terminal through a portion of a telecommunication network using the bearer channel.

  • Patent number: 7539242
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit device has first and second receivers and first and second transmitters. The first receiver has a first clock data recovery (CDR) circuit, and the second receiver has a second CDR circuit. Each of these first and second CDR circuits receives serial data, recovers a clock from the received serial data, and changes the phase of the generated clock. The first transmitter has a first serializer (SER), and the second transmitter has a second SER. The first SER converts parallel data into serial data synchronized with a transmit clock or the clock generated by the first CDR circuit. The second SER converts parallel data into serial data synchronized with a transmit clock or the clock generated by the second CDR circuit.
