Abstract: A single channel full duplex wireless communication system includes a processor, a transmitter, a receiver, a secondary transmission path, a combining element, a primary transmission feedback path and a secondary transmission feedback path. The transmitter transmits a transmission signal via a transmission path. The receiver receives a received signal via a reception path. The transmitter and the receiver utilize one channel to transmit and receive signals. The transmission signal causes self-interference. The processor estimates a first transfer function and feeds the secondary transmission path with the transmission signal adjusted by the first transfer function to reduce the transmission signal leaked to the reception path. The combining element combines the transmission signal with the adjusted secondary transmission path signal to remove the self-interference. Abstract: A method and device enables establishing radio communications on a trunked network using an inbound proxy. The method includes receiving, at a first subscriber device, a control signal from a base station on an outbound control channel of the base station. A request is then transmitted from the first subscriber device to the base station on an inbound control channel of the base station. Next, it is determined, at the first subscriber device, that the request was not received by the base station. Abstract: An operation channel in a multi-hop network is determined. The network uses a set of channels, and one of the nodes is a network management node. The operation channel is selected in the network management node. Then, the network management node broadcasts a channel information packet including the operation channel using all channels. The channel information packet is received in each of other nodes, either directly from the network management node or from an intermediate node that received and rebroadcasted the channel information packet. Lastly, the operation channel in each node is set according to the channel information packet until the network is formed.

  • Patent number: 8644198
Abstract: A front end radio architecture (FERA) is disclosed that includes a transmitter block coupled to a power amplifier (PA) via first and second input terminals. A first split-band duplexer is coupled to a first output terminal of the PA and a second split-band duplexer is coupled to a second output terminal of the PA. The PA includes a first amplifier cell and a second amplifier cell that when coupled to the first and second split-band duplexers makes up first and second transmitter chains. Only one of the first and the second transmitter chains is active when a first carrier and a second carrier have a frequency offset that is less than an associated half duplex frequency within a same split-band duplex band, thus preventing third order inter-modulation (IMD) products from falling within an associated receive channel. Otherwise, the first and the second transmitter chains are both active.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and apparatus for maximizing the spectral efficiency of a communications spectrum by providing a means to transmit information continuously in both directions of a radio link on the same center frequency at any given time. One embodiment may be directed to a method of communicating in a point-to-point radio system. The method may include receiving a first signal at a first antenna of a radio head. The first signal may include a transmitted data signal and interfering signals. The method continues by determining a correction signal from a transmitter of the radio head and processing the first signal to remove the interfering signals using the correction signal, and sending a second signal using a second antenna. The first and second signals may be sent and received at substantially the same time.

The primary transmission feedback path output is modified by a second transfer function.
