    Abstract: Enhanced protocols and devices may be used to alleviate loss of spectrum efficiency in wideband transmission. The protocols may implement a wideband transmission opportunity (TXOP) truncation where one or more of the channels involved in communication over the wideband are released. In one scenario, a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may obtain a TXOP for a 2 MHz bandwidth mode frame transmission with another device capable of operating in a 2 MHz bandwidth mode and a 1 MHz bandwidth mode. The WTRU may conduct a request-to-send (RTS)/clear-to-send (CTS) frame exchange in the second bandwidth mode, and truncate the TXOP by transmitting a contention free (CF)-End frame in the first and second bandwidth modes. In another scenario, an AP may obtain a TXOP for a 2 MHz bandwidth mode frame transmission with a WTRU capable of both 2 MHz and 1 MHz bandwidth modes.

The wireless device may then transmit a terminating message at the first data rate. The wireless device may also receive a second message prior to transmitting the terminating message. The terminating message may be a clear-to-send message (CTS) or an acknowledgement (ACK) message. The first message may be an aggregate media access control packet data unit (A-MPDU) in which the first portion is a preamble and the second portion is an MPDU.

The UE transmits an acknowledgement message to the eNB if the DL grant message is successfully received and decoded. The eNB aborts transmission of the TTI bundle if it fails to timely receive the acknowledgement and may reassign the network resources scheduled for use in the transmission. In some embodiments, the eNB may introduce a delay between the downlink grant message and the TTI bundle.

    Abstract: An event retrieval and analysis system compares counts of event data for a device to stored profile counts to determine if alerts should be triggered. Event data can be retrieved by a sensor. Rules for analyzing the event data can be retrieved based on the device. The event data is analyzed based on the rules to determine recordable events. Recordable events are organized into categories representing a type or severity of attack. Current event counts are calculated by summing the recordable events for each category. A normal profile is retrieved for the device and compared to the current event count. A percentage change trigger can be retrieved from a threshold matrix based on the current event count. The percentage increase of the current event count over the normal profile is calculated and compared to the percentage change trigger to determine if an alert is triggered by the analysis system.
