Abstract: The subject matter of this specification can be implemented in, among other things, methods, systems, computer-readable storage medium. A method can include receiving, by a processing device, image data including one or more image frames indicative of a current state of a meal preparation area. The processing device determines one of a meal preparation item or a meal preparation action associated with the current state of the kitchen based on the image data. The processing device receives order data comprising one or more pending meal orders. The processing device can determine an order preparation error based on the order data and at least one of the meal preparation item or the meal preparation action. The processing device causes the order preparation error to be displayed on a graphical user interface (GUI).

  • Patent number: 11467042
Abstract: A device for indicating violation of a temperature limit of an item is provided. The device is positionable near the item and includes a sensor configured to change its state permanently when the temperature limit is violated. The change in sensor state is machine-readable to provide a permanent indication of the temperature limit violation. The sensor includes a reservoir for storing a fluid that changes phase from a solid to a liquid when the temperature limit is violated and a channel in fluid communication with the reservoir for receiving flow of the fluid in liquid phase from the reservoir. The sensor is arranged to allow flow of the fluid in the liquid phase such that the state of the sensor is permanently changed. The sensor is further configured to prevent the fluid flow from permanently changing the sensor state until activation of the sensor from a resting state. A system and method for detecting violation of a temperature limit of an item using the device is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11295265
Abstract: A cold chain system with thermosensitive labels linked to an online traceability portal is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of human a machine readable code labels having irreversible thermosensitive inks placed on various products. The labels optionally having multiple codes paired with various predefined discrete images or strings detected using optical methods or text-based transmission and communication protocols. The system can enhance cold chain quality and security by allowing real time validation and traceability from factory to end users through an online platform compatible with mobile devices. The system can also enhance both manual and technological cold chain security methods for countries that have varying degrees of technological capability to ultimately improve vulnerable supply chains.

  • Patent number: 10349507
Abstract: A medical apparatus includes a power device, a temperature sensor, a conversion processing unit and a prediction time period calculation unit. The temperature sensor detects temperature data. The conversion processing unit refers to temperature data obtained by the temperature sensor in a table in which at least one of temperature data for inside a case covering the power device and temperature data for a wire bonded to the power device is associated with data of actually measured temperatures, and obtains at least one of the temperature data for inside the case and the temperature data for the wire. The prediction time period calculation unit calculates a prediction time period until a failure of the power device based on the obtained temperature data.

  • Patent number: 10219531
Abstract: Disclosed herein is preservation system for nutritional substances. The preservation system obtains information about the nutritional substance to be preserved, senses and measures the external environment to the preservation system, senses and measures the internal environment to the preservation system, senses and measures the state of the nutritional substance, and stores such information throughout the period of preservation. Using this accumulated information, the preservation system can measure, or estimate, changes in nutritional content (usually degradation) during the period of preservation. Additionally, the preservation system can use this information to dynamically modify the preservation system to minimize detrimental changes to the nutritional content of the nutritional substance, and in some cases actually improve the nutritional substance attributes.
