Abstract: There is provided a method of decoding a received set of encoded data, the method comprising: receiving an encoded dataset; identifying from the dataset an ordered set of node symbols and data symbols, wherein a node symbol comprises a predetermined number of elements wherein each element indicates if a subsequent node symbol or data symbol is to be expected in the dataset and a data symbol is a predetermined number of bits which represent an encoded value; constructing, based on said ordered set, an ordered tree having a predetermined number of layers from the identified node symbols and data symbols.

Abstract: The invention comprises a system of client-server visualization with hybrid data processing, having a server digital data processor, that allows for server side rendering and processing image data, and client digital data processors simultaneously connected to the server, which receives messages from the clients, creates rendered images of data sets or other data processing results and sends those rendered images and results to the clients for display or further processing. Performing certain image rendering operations on either the server or the client according to which is better suited for the tasks requested by the user at any point in time, and possibly adjusting this division of work dynamically, improves rendering speed and application responsiveness on the clients.

Abstract: According to one implementation, a method of guiding an interaction between a companion module and a user includes identifying a media content for playout by a media player device, transmitting, to a remote server, an interaction schema request identifying the media content and the companion module, and receiving, from the remote server, behavioral manifest data including an instruction for guiding the interaction between the companion module and the user. Such a method also includes obtaining a play head state of the media player device and a playout timecode state of the media content, and identifying a user interaction behavior for the companion module based on the behavioral manifest data, the play head state of the media player device, and the playout timecode state of the media content.

Abstract: Techniques for rendering a scene are disclosed. In some embodiments, a scene definition is modified to generate a modified scene definition based at least in part on a current state of a local database at a device. The modified scene definition is constrained to include references to objects locally available in the local database, and at least one object referenced in the scene definition is substituted with a different object in the modified scene definition that is locally available in the local database. The scene is rendered at the device according to the modified scene definition.

Abstract: A website building system (WBS) includes a processor implementing a machine learning feedback-based proposal module and a database storing at least the websites of a plurality of users of the WBS, and components of the websites. The module includes a plurality of per activity AI units and a feedback system. Each per activity AI unit supports one or more specific activity related to the WBS and provides at least one system suggestion to the users related to its specific activity. Each per activity AI unit includes at least one machine learning model suitable for the activity supported by its per activity AI unit. The feedback system provides a plurality of different kinds of feedback from the users for updating the machine learning models. The feedback system analyzes the feedback to determine which one of the at least one machine learning models to update.

Abstract: Systems and methods for processing surveillance video streams using image classification and object detection are described. Video data from a video image sensor may be processed using an image classifier to determine whether an object type is present in a video frame. If the object type is present, the video frame and/or subsequent video frames may be processed using an object detector to provide additional object data, such as position information, for use in other video surveillance processes. In some examples, an event message may be generated and sent to a video surveillance application in response to selective object detection.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for processing of video content to optimize codec bandwidth. In one embodiment, the method includes capturing panoramic imaging content (e.g., a 360° panorama), mapping the panoramic imaging content into an equi-angular cubemap (EAC) format, and splitting the EAC format into segments for transmission to maximize codec bandwidth. In one exemplary embodiment, the EAC segments are transmitted at a different frame rate than the subsequent display rate of the panoramic imaging content. For example, the mapping and frame rate may be chosen to enable the rendering of 8K, 360° content at 24 fps, using commodity encoder hardware and software that nominally supports 4K content at 60 fps.

Abstract: A multimedia file and methods of generating, distributing and using the multimedia file are described. Multimedia files in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can contain multiple video tracks, multiple audio tracks, multiple subtitle tracks, a complete index that can be used to locate each data chunk in each of these tracks and an abridged index that can enable the location of a subset of the data chunks in each track, data that can be used to generate a menu interface to access the contents of the file and ‘meta data’ concerning the contents of the file. Multimedia files in accordance with several embodiments of the present invention also include references to video tracks, audio tracks, subtitle tracks and ‘meta data’ external to the file.

The player with the e-commerce component can be virally copied and propagated from one web page to any number of other web pages. A method for presenting advertisements for commercial products in video productions, whereby the commercial product is placed in the video production as an element of the video production. A viewer is enabled to interact with the video production to select the product. Information is then displayed about the selected product; and the viewer is enabled to purchase the selected product.

Abstract: In the creative community, a need exists to efficiently market creative works including music, concerts, photographic, video programs, motion pictures, two and three dimensional works of art and literary works. The cost of creating works of art has never been less. Computer programs like Garage Band and iMovie have lowered production costs so that more people than ever before are engaged in creativity. The present invention links the creative community with investors, venue owners, social media influencers, other artists, art critics, art distributors, literary agents, art brokers and dealers and the overall audience for creative works. The present invention represents a significant augmentation to the traditional artists and repertoire departments of the major record companies and will enable a bidding marketplace so that creative works may be monetized at the moment of creation and combined with other preexisting artwork to enable marketing compilations or derivative works expeditiously.

The video is played in a media player without displaying a queue configured to display one or more entities. When an input is received to display the queue while playing the video, the method performs: determining a set of entities in relation to a time associated with playing the video using the information for the entities that appear in the video and displaying the set of entities in the queue, wherein the video continues to play in the media player while the queue is displayed.

Abstract: Embodiments are related to processing of one or more input audio feeds for generation of a target audio stream that includes at least one object of interest to a listener. In some embodiments, the target audio stream may exclusively or primarily include the sound of the object of interest to the listener, without including other persons. This allows a listener to focus on an object of his or her interest and not necessarily have to listen to the performances of other objects in the input audio feed. Some embodiments contemplate multiple audio feeds and/or with multiple objects of interest.

A minimum set of time instances that gives one time instance in each time period in the set of time periods is calculated. Abstract: A system for the augmented assessment of digital media streams for virtual less than insertion opportunities is disclosed. A digital media stream is automatically decomposed, using a programmed digital processor, into one or more candidate-clips have a predetermined minimum length, and no internal shot transitions. These candidate-clips are then examined, and the ones deemed suitable for virtual insertion use, are classified as viable-clips and stored in a digital database. The artificial intelligence techniques of machine learning and deep learning are then used to further classify the viable-clips according to their virtual insertion related attributes that may be attractive to advertisers, such as scene context, emotional tone and contained characters. A value is then assigned to the viable-clips, dependent on their insertion related attributes, and the overlap of those attributes with client requested requirements.

Selections can be made during the presentation thereby allowing a participant to join the presentation after it has started and contribute digital media items to the presentation while it is running.
