  • Patent number: 10924669
Abstract: A camera reboots when a first timer or counter expires but defers when a connection enables a server to reset the first timer or counter. A connection is initiated when a second timer or counter expires in the event of idleness. Both timers can be compared with current system time to cause reconnection or reinitialization.

  • Patent number: 10795773
Abstract: A camera reboots when a first timer expires but defers when a connection enables a server to reset the first timer. The system uses a visitor filtration apparatus to encode and store time-windows for expected visitors and generate optical credentials as visitor indicia and policies to greet, transform messages, and determine various access to visitors, both expected or unexpected. A video doorbell component of the system triggers on image or audio capture, transforms and verifies optically encoded credentials and actuates a physical access control actuator, triggers a visitor filtration apparatus, or relays images and audio with an interview panel. The optical credential is transmitted electronically to an expected visitor and may be printed or displayed from an electronic media.

  • Patent number: 10789821
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for camera-side cropping of a video feed. In one aspect, a method includes: (1) displaying a first video feed with the first field of view at the first resolution; (2) detecting a first user input to enhance an identified portion of the first video feed; and (3) in response to detecting the first user input: (a) generating a camera crop command for the identified portion instructing the camera to generate a second video feed corresponding to the identified portion, the second video feed having the first resolution and a second field of view that is smaller than the first field of view; (b) sending the camera crop command to the camera; (c) in response receiving the second video feed from the camera; and (d) displaying the second video feed with the second field of view at the first resolution.

  • Patent number: 10616383
Abstract: In a method for transmitting video for a display panel between a transmitter in electronic communication with a receiver over a wireless communication channel, the method includes: receiving, by a transmitter, a frame of video data from a data source; reorganizing, by the transmitter, the frame of video data into a plurality of packets according to levels of importance of bits of the frame of video data; generating, by the transmitter, a tag for each of the packets, the tags corresponding to different relatively levels of importance of the packets; performing, by the transmitter, different protection techniques for each of the packets based on the tag corresponding to each of the packets; and transmitting, by the transmitter, the packets and the tags to the receiver for display on the display panel such that each packet is transmitted according to the different protection techniques based on their corresponding tagging.
