Systems For Transmission Of A Pulse Code Modulated Video Signal With One Or More Other Pulse Code Modulated Signals, E.g., An Audio Signal, A Synchronizing Signal (epo) Patents (Class 375/E7.267)
Abstract: In-place conversion of a fragmented MP4 (FMP4) file into an MP4 format without having to create separate files is discussed herein. Audio and visual data is captured by a multimedia application and stored an FMP4 file with an initial moov atom and one or more fragment headers assigned to portions of the audio/video data. Once a capturing session is completed (e.g., user stops recording audio and video), the FMP4 file is converted to an MP4 file by attaching a final moov atom to the FMP4 file and changing the header designation of the initial moov(i) atom from “moov” to an “mdat” designation. This change in designation makes the initial moov(i) atom of the FMP4 file opaque a media player and converts the FMP4 file to MP4 format.
Abstract: A system and method for compression and encryption of data includes creating a plurality of hash table keys by applying a bit mask to an encryption key, applying a hashing function to the encryption key, creating a hash table using the hashing function, the hash table including the plurality of hash table keys and index values, the index values each identifying a location of data in the hash table connected to one of the plurality of hash table keys, receiving input data, and encoding the input data to generate encoded data, the encoding including both compression and encryption of the input data using the encryption key and the hash table.
Abstract: Utilizing publishing and subscribing clients in network media channels having a first network coupled to at least a first server and a second server. The first server includes storage configured to store media data, and a network media channel manager configured to send and receive the media data according to one or more network media channels. The first server is also coupled to a publishing client, which is configured to publish the media data using a first network media channel selected from the one or more network media channels, and a subscribing client in a local network external to a first network. The subscribing client subscribes and accesses the media data using a second network media channel selected from the one or more network media channels. One or more network media channels include at least one local channel that is limited to the local network so that only the subscribing client can present to the local channel.
Abstract: The databases and methods disclosed herein reduce costly dictionary access (writes and reads) by storing data directly in an index (e.g., storing literal values or taking advantage of Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs)), thereby saving time and memory. One example embodiment is a database that includes a dictionary and an index. The dictionary stores associations between keys and data. Each entry in the index includes a plurality of values corresponding to data. A value of the index includes either (i) a direct representation of corresponding data for certain data types, or (ii) a hash of the corresponding data for other data types. The hash is used in the dictionary as a key associated with the corresponding data.

Abstract: An increase in the speed of trick reproduction is achieved. A transmission stream, in which first transmission packets that are multilayer-configuration packets each having a multiplexed transport packet in an upper layer are continuously arranged is transmitted. In the transmission stream, the specific first transmission packets each including the multiplexed transport packet including data in which a first byte of an access unit of a random access point starts and having a header in which identification information is inserted are arranged at a predetermined interval. In addition, in the transmission stream, second transmission packets each including access position information corresponding to the previous and next specific first transmission packets and having a header in which identification information is inserted are arranged following the specific first transmission packets.
Abstract: Provided is a wireless communication device which can improve the notification accuracy of the channel state information (CSI) without straining the feedback circuit. In this device, a channel estimator (105) uses a pilot signal input from a wireless receiver (102) to estimate the channel and obtain a plurality of path gains in each of a plurality of delay periods. Then, the channel estimator (105) outputs the plurality of path gains to a quantizer (107). The quantizer (107) quantizes the plurality of path gains in the number of notification bits corresponding to each of the plurality of delay periods based on the correspondence of the delay period and the number of notification bits input from a setting unit (106).
Abstract: A method of encoding a local time base embedded in the compressed data is disclosed. The local time base is encoded in two parts. The first part has a modulo time base that indicates the specific interval in the reference time base and the second part has a time base increment relative to the reference time. Two forms of time base increment is used to allow for the possibility of different encoding order and displaying order. A mechanism for the synchronization of multiple compressed streams with local time base is also described. A time base offset mechanism is also used to allow finer granularity synchronization of the multiple compressed streams.
