Re-entrant Type Patents (Class 376/376)
  • Patent number: 11242800
Abstract: A fuel supply system includes a first component configured to direct a fuel flow to a combustor of an engine system. The first component includes a first inner surface and a first outer surface. The fuel supply system also includes an outer coating disposed on the first outer surface of the first component. The outer coating is configured to thermally insulate a first interior of the first component to reduce non-catalytic coke formation in the first interior. Additionally, the fuel supply system includes an inner coating disposed on the first inner surface of the first component. The inner coating is configured to reduce the fuel flow from contacting a base material of the first inner surface of the first component to reduce catalytic coke formation in the first interior.

  • Patent number: 7742556
Abstract: Circuits, methods, apparatus, and systems for recovering a clock from a spread spectrum signal having a periodic modulation profile. The circuits generally include an error detector circuit configured to compare the spread spectrum signal and a recovered clock signal, and to produce a first error signal corresponding to the periodic modulation profile and a second error signal corresponding to phase differences other than the spread spectrum modulation, a record and playback unit configured to record a value to a frequency memory, said value based on the first error signal and produce a third error signal corresponding to a predicted periodic modulation based at least in part on the recorded value, and a signal generator configured to produce the recovered clock signal in response to the second and third error signals.

  • Patent number: 6694128
Abstract: Frequency translation and applications of same are described herein, including frequency synthesizers that employ universal frequency translation technology. The universal frequency translation technology includes a device for switching, a device for storing, and an energy transfer signal for controlling the switching device. The energy transfer signal may include pulses having apertures sufficiently wide to effect substantial energy transfer.

  • Patent number: 6477217
Abstract: Flow of mercury from a liquid-heavy-metal inflow port toward an inner forward end of a container body is rectified by a plurality of incoming-passage guide vanes in a liquid-heavy-metal incoming passage. Flow of the mercury from the forward end of the container body toward a liquid-heavy-metal outflow port is rectified by a plurality of return-passage guide vanes in a liquid-heavy-metal return passage. As a result, occurrence of stagnation and/or recirculation flows of the mercury in the container body is suppressed and a steady and highly uniform stream of the mercury is formed throughout in the container body. The container body is covered with a container outer shell to prevent any leakage of the mercury to outside due to a damage of the container body.

  • Patent number: 5106573
Abstract: A steam separator for a boiling water reactor includes a pressure vessel and a chimney spaced radiallly inwardly therefrom to define a downcomer therebetween for recirculating water, the chimney being disposed above a reactor core for channeling upwardly therefrom steam voids and water flow. An annular partition wall is spaced radially between the vessel and he chimney to define an annular collection chamber having an inlet for receiving a portion of the steam voids and water flow from the chimney, a steam outlet for discharging the steam voids from the chamber, and a flow outlet for discharging the water flow from the chamber into the downcomer.

  • Patent number: 4498776
Abstract: To measure the flushness and the gap width between adjacent spaced panels, a pair of light sources project beams of light onto the respective panels adjacent the gap at oblique angles to the panels to provide on each panel an illuminated region extending from the gap to a sharply defined boundary so that for a given position of the gap relative to the light beams outer margin the width of the illuminated portion of each panel transverse of the gap is a function of the position of each panel in relation to the light source and the relative positions of the outer margins depend upon the flushness of the panels. In the preferred form an electronic camera comprising a linear photodiode array receives an image of the illuminated pattern, the optics being such as to provide a sharp image within a predetermined range of flushness.
