Call Signal Generation (e.g., Auto-dial) Patents (Class 379/100.14)
  • Patent number: 11862190
Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a technique for assisting the realization of more efficient business activities, while taking account of objective indicators. In a server 1 which supports a user U having a telephone call with a call destination C, an acquiring unit 101 acquires information recorded during the call between the user U and the call destination C, as call information. An extracting unit 102 detects utterance segments VS1 to VSn in which speech is present, from the acquired call information, and extracts speech information VI1 to VIm from each utterance segment VS1 to VSn. An analyzing unit 103 performs analysis based on elements E1 to Ep, on the basis of the extracted speech information VI1 to VIm. A generating unit 104 generates business support information for supporting the call with the user U, on the basis of the results of the analysis. A presenting unit 105 presents the generated business support information to the user U.

Abstract: A method for entering an Internet site address including a plurality of Internet sub-addresses for wirelessly accessing an Internet website using a keypad of a mobile communication terminal is disclosed. According to the method, at least one Internet sub-address is assigned to at least one key of a plurality of keys arranged on the keypad in accordance with a predetermined sequence and the assigned Internet sub-address associated with the corresponding key is stored into a memory unit. If a key on the keypad is selected by a user of the mobile communication terminal, it is determined the number or time duration the key is depressed, the stored Internet sub-address corresponding to the number or time of depressing the key is retrieved from the memory unit, and transferred to a display unit for displaying the Internet site address.

Abstract: Call progress analysis is performed in a telephone system employing different in-band signaling plans are used. From address information for a call destination in a call initiation message, it is determined which type of in-band signaling plans is utilized by equipment associated with the call destination, for example by examining country codes in a dialed telephone number. Based upon the determined signaling plan type, a corresponding type of call progress analysis resource is selected and allocated for use with the call. The analysis resource may include a digital signal processor (DSP) programmed with an analysis routine tailored to the determined signaling plan. The DSP may be pre-programmed with such a routine or may be loaded at call time with analysis parameters appropriate to the signaling plan. The telephone system may employ a packet network and packet-based telephony transmission, a media gateway controller or a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) proxy server, an a media server.

  • Patent number: 7068776
Abstract: A method and system for automatically completing long distance, international and local telephone calls using a preselected discount telephone service. A R.A.T. sensor array monitors a telephone line for activity. When the dialing of an outgoing call is detected, a central processing unit, in conjunction with a DTMF decoder, determines whether the call being made is a discount call by detecting whether predetermined positioned digit(s) is a predetermined number or set of numbers. If the number dialed is a discount call, the DTMF generator dials a predetermined prefix and/or access code resulting in completion of the call at a discounted rate.

Abstract: A gateway (106) to an H.323 network configured to monitor and intercept in-band signaling from external networks. The gateway (106) further provides to the H.323 terminal (102) out-of-band signaling indicative of the nature of the in-band signaling received from the external network. If the signaling changes, the gateway (106) provides this information to the H.323 terminal (102). The gateway (106) thus prevents the need to cut through audio channels for ringback tones or busy signals.

A communication line is selected which is suited to the set mode. Then, a check is made to determine whether or not the address is present for the set communication line from among the searched plurality of transmission destination addresses, and when the address is not present, the communication line having the next prioritized ranking is set. Then, this series of processes is repeated until the applicable transmission destination is present. The data communication apparatus transmits the data to the destination address when the address of the set communication line is present.

Abstract: An operator/facsimile interface includes an Undo key that enables an immediately previous action to be reversed, thereby allowing an operator to correct an erroneous entry or a mistakenly commenced operation with one key press. The operator/facsimile interface further enables entry of alpha-numeric data from a telephone-style keyboard. Alteration of displayed alpha-numeric characters may be accomplished by actuation of arrow keys, or sequential key presses of an alpha-numeric key. A displayed alpha-numeric character may be entered by actuation of an arrow key, an Enter key or a different alpha-numeric key. Completion of an alpha-numeric entry may be signaled by actuation of a Start key or Enter key. The * and # keys in the telephone-style keyboard are assigned Yes and No functions, respectively, when the facsimile interface is in an alpha-numeric entry mode, thereby allowing immediate operator response to a displayed query.
