  • Patent number: 10726099
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for providing a user with remote real time access to pharmaceuticals, the system comprising a plurality of carts which accept cassettes that contain pharmaceuticals. The carts preferably contain a CPU which can communicate with a database. A remote CPU is also in electrical communication with the database and may be placed at a pharmacy. When a specific pharmaceutical is required for a specific patient, a user can electronically request a one time access code (OTAC) from the remote CPU. If the request is valid, an OTAC can be sent both electronically to the database in addition to being sent to the user. If the user inputs an OTAC that matches the one stored on the database, the cart is unlocked to provide access to the requested pharmaceutical. Pharmaceuticals that are currently found in the cart can be checked remotely by communicating with the database.

Abstract: Handover of call serviced by modular ear-piece/microphone between servicing base portions is presented. A wireless headset includes wireless interface(s), earpiece, a microphone, processing module, and a user interface. The wireless interface(s) wirelessly couples the wireless headset to a base unit via a wireless personal area network (WPAN). The earpiece renders inbound portions of the service calls audible while the microphone is operable to produce the outbound portion of the call. Both the earpiece and microphone are communicatively coupled to the wireless interface(s). The processing module also coupled to the wireless interface(s) allows the wireless headset to initiate call functions between the wireless headset and a servicing network made available through the base unit, service a call and call control functions, and anchor the call to the wireless headset.

Abstract: A computer implemented system and method for encouraging frequent and purposeful electronic communications from caregivers to individuals with impaired memory to, inter alia, alleviate feelings of isolation and improve memory. The system includes a Web-based application through which caregivers send text, image, voice and other forms of data for receipt by the sufferer on a PDA having a simple user interface. The Web application records the dates and nature (i.e., text, audio, photograph, video) of communications sent by each caregiver, processes the data in order to display it in a variety of meaningful ways to all caregivers, thus creating a peer-pressure environment to encourage more frequent communication.

  • Patent number: 7890813
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system that identifies a failure mechanism for a component. The system first constructs a library of failure signatures from a set of components, wherein each failure signature in the library characterizes a known failure mechanism associated with a component in the set of components. Next, the system receives a telemetry signal which is measured from a component under surveillance. The system then determines if there is an anomaly in the telemetry signal. If so, the system performs pattern-matching operations between the telemetry signal and failure signatures in the library. Next, if a match is found, the system identifies the failure mechanism for the component under surveillance based on the matching failure signature.
