Central Power Source Patents (Class 379/186)
  • Patent number: 7964993
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein describe a network device including a class AB common mode suppression (CMS) circuit coupled in parallel between a line voltage source and a physical layer (PHY) device that provides active EMI suppression and Phy device termination. A network connector is coupled to provide the line voltage source to the class AB CMS circuit. The class AB CMS circuit provides current to the PHY device, terminates open-drain transmit drivers of the PHY device and suppresses common mode noise thereby minimizing electromagnetic interference. In other embodiments, the class AB CMS circuit is coupled in parallel between the network connector and a physical layer (PHY) device. The class AB CMS circuit suppresses common mode noise, and terminates open-drain transmit drivers of the PHY device, thereby minimizing electromagnetic interference.

  • Patent number: 7218718
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method to perform a telecommunication between a caller terminal and a callee terminal identified by an identification code, such as a phone number. Method wherein it comprises the steps of: collecting routing information related to the identification code of the callee, after entering said code at the caller's terminal and before activating the telecommunication or establishing the telecommunication link, then displaying at least a part of said collected routing information at the caller's end, for example directly on the caller terminal and finally either activating the telecommunication in order to establish the telecommunication link corresponding to the entered code or cancelling the current attempt to establish a telecommunication link based on said dialed code.

  • Patent number: 6208714
Abstract: A telephone answering apparatus for indicating the presence of a power-cycle includes a memory device which stores a retrieved message and a value from a clock, and a controller operatively connected to the memory device and to the clock. The controller initializes the value of the clock to a power-up value upon receiving power from a source and the power-up value is stored along with the retrieved message in the memory device. A user may retrieve the stored power-up value along with the message into an application that is running on a host computer which will indicate that no time was recorded for the retrieved message.

  • Patent number: 5781622
Abstract: An apparatus for providing an intercom function on a telephone, without the need for an external power supply, having DTMF or pulse capabilities including an intercom operation device arranged for connection to a DTMF or pulse telephone line and to a DTMF or pulse telephone instrument. The apparatus includes a device for sensing an extension selection dual input from the DTMF or pulse telephone instrument and transmitting a corresponding extension address signal over the DTMF or pulse telephone line. Also included is an apparatus for sensing a received extension address signal from the telephone line, determining whether it corresponds to the telephone instrument to which the intercom operation apparatus is connected and, upon determination of correspondence, providing an extension selection ring output.
