Abstract: An aircraft data interface function (ADIF) server system comprises a processing module that hosts an aircraft condition monitoring function, comprising an airline modifiable information database including a history buffer and one or more logic units; a management information base (MIB) database; a parameter snapshot database; and a simple network management protocol (SNMP) agent in communication with the MIB database and parameter snapshot database. A core network unit communicates with the SNMP agent and an SNMP manager in an ADIF client. The SNMP agent sends messages to and receives messages from the SNMP manager through the core network unit. The ADIF server system interfaces with one or more avionics systems through a common data network to obtain and store aircraft parameter information. The ADIF client is configured via the core network unit to interact with the ADIF server system to request and receive the aircraft parameter information.

Abstract: An automated method begins by receiving a list of numbers that have been de-activated by a carrier. Periodically, and for each number, a request is made to identify a current carrier for the number. If the current carrier matches the carrier that provided the de-activation information, the mobile number is considered to be in a first state, i.e., shut off and returned to a pool of numbers that are available to this same carrier. Upon a determination that the number is in the first state, the provider issues a request to any opt-in database to delete any express consent or other similar data associated with the number. If, however, the number does not match the carrier of deactivation, the number is considered to be in a second state, i.e., likely to have been ported by the same user to a new carrier. For example, the method receives a session request by a Serving-Call Session Control Function (S-CSCF), wherein a route header for the session request comprises an aggregate endpoint identifier, and interacts with an application server to receive a Public User Identity (PUID) of the aggregate endpoint device in accordance with the aggregate endpoint identifier. The method performs a termination processing for the session request using the PUID of the aggregate endpoint device, and forwards the session request towards the aggregate endpoint device.

  • Patent number: 8767934
Abstract: A topic is associated with a temporary communications address such as a temporary telephone number. This assignment may be effected by the user when the temporary address is obtained by the user. Illustratively, a user who simultaneously uses a plurality of temporary addresses associates a different topic with each of those addresses. When a caller calls the temporary address, the call is redirected to the user's real address and the user receives the topic that is associated with that temporary address, and preferably also the called temporary address itself, along with the redirected call, and this information is either displayed or announced to the user. The information provides context for the call to the user, and may optionally be captured in call logs. Illustratively, when the user initiates a call via the temporary address or the topic, the temporary address or the topic is provided to the called party as the caller ID information. The user's identity is thus kept secret.

Abstract: According to various embodiments of the present invention, systems and methods for local number portability in a telecommunication network are disclosed. An embodiment of a method includes requesting a real-time (RT) customer service record (CSR) request for a telephone number (TN) associated with a local number portability (LNP) order, the requesting occurring prior to a second CSR request that occurs as part of a submit process for the LNP order; receiving, in response to the request for the RT CSR request, a RT CSR response from a telecommunications carrier that the TN is to be transferred from as part of the LNP order; and validating data in the RT CSR response in order to prevent rejections of the data in the second CSR during the LNP process. Other embodiments are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8712388
Abstract: A communication device, system and service provider for automatically populating feature capabilities. In one illustrative embodiment, the communication device can begin automatic download of service provider features and content by registering with a service provider. When successfully registered, the service provider can determine a set of available features for the communication device. The available features can be dependent on a number of factors including licensing, location, or subscription of the communication device. Available features can also be dependent on whether the communication device is idle or active. The service provider can notify the communication device with the set of available features. The features can be uniquely identified by a feature identification that represents the service provider and the feature. At any time, when the communication device reports that the user has selected a feature on the device, the service provider can take the appropriate actions.
