The method including obtaining motion information regarding a user; changing the UI based on the obtained motion information regarding the user; and displaying the changed UI.

Abstract: To provide a floating flap gate that requires an auxiliary force of a counterweight or the like, and in which bending does not occur in a forward end portion of a door body, even in cases in which an installation site has a wide span. A floating flap gate 1 having a forward end portion 2c of a door body 2 that is configured to rotate around a base end portion serving as a fulcrum at a time of a rising water, so as to float upwards, and provided with an upper beam 2d attached to the forward end portion 2c of the door body 2 and a door body suspension member 3 contained within the upper beam 2d, and having two ends each being connected to one end of a wire rope 4. A counterweight 5 is connected to the other end side of the wire rope 4 as a pulling device.

Abstract: A technique for facilitating online collaboration among users of client machines allows multiple users to work together and concurrently on a set of documents. In response to a request from a user, a server opens a document in a software application running on the server and virtualizes the software application to the client machines. Multiple users can then operate the software application from the respective client machines to edit the document via remote control. The server multiplexes pointer input from the client machines to provide pointer input to the software application from one user at a time. Multiplexing of pointer input takes place seamlessly and automatically in response to user activity with respect to the virtualized software application.

Abstract: A contact center dialing a telephone number to a destination party, such as a debtor, may discover that the number is subject to a prohibition of being autodialed. In other embodiments, a number that was subject to the prohibition of being autodialed is now discovered to no longer be subject to such prohibition. Various mechanisms may be defined to indicate how such a prohibition associated with the number may be indicated in a dialing list and how various contact center architectures may be used to process the dialing list. In one embodiment, separate sub-systems are used to dial separate dialing lists based on whether the number is to be manually dialed or dialed using an autodialer. In another embodiment, another architecture is used to process an integrated dialing list to determine whether a number is to be manually dialed or autodialed.

Abstract: Telephone users desiring directory assistance services are connected via standard telephone procedures to a directory assistance provider, such as an operator. An operator provides the destination number and initiates a connection to that number. Once that connection is initiated, the connection is monitored for the occurrence of a predetermined condition, such as a busy signal. If no such condition is detected, the caller proceeds with the call in the normal manner. If, however, such a condition is detected, the caller is automatically transferred to a directory assistance provider for further help.

Abstract: A system and method to connect a caller to a callee through the services of an operator, the method comprising: connecting the caller to the operator through an origination switch; connecting the operator to the callee through a destination switch; sending a release message to the destination switch with a request for a callee address; receiving the address at the operator; sending a release message to the origination switch with the callee address; and connecting the callee with the caller by utilizing the callee address. The method can also include putting the callee on hold at the destination switch and sending the callee address from the destination switch. The method can also include putting the caller on hold at the origination switch while receiving the callee address from the operator. The operator can be an automated operator, a manual operator, or a private branch exchange, for example. The network can be an asynchronous transfer mode network and, or an Internet Protocol network, for example.

Abstract: A conference communication system that includes multiple user terminals, each of which includes a display screen with a common working area, provides each user with a pointer icon that can be moved across all the display screens with a pointing device, provides the display screen of each user with a representation of all the conference participants, and, for each user, displays a line connecting each pointer icon of the other conference participants to the displayed representation of the user controlling the icon. Each user controls a pointer icon with a display mouse device having buttons, and the pointer icon and line connecting a user with the user's pointer icon is only displayed on the screens of the other conference participants if the user has pressed and held down a button of the user's mouse device. In this way, each user has control of a pointer icon and each pointer icon is readily associated with the user controlling it, while the number of objects displayed in the work area is kept to a minimum.

Abstract: A centrex with an attendant console sharing system wherein there is no restriction in an extension line numbering plan so that an attendant console can accept a call to any business group and will connect the call only to the extension line station of the business group for which the call is destined. Means for connecting 12 of the centrex links attendant console 2 to business group attendant console data corresponding to the business group for which an incoming call is destined in accordance with pilot number-to-attendant console conversion table 3 when the call arrives at attendant console 2 from a public network subscriber and in accordance with business group number-to-attendant console conversion table 4 when the call arrives from an extension line station of the business group.

Abstract: An exchange having a display apparatus for displaying the states of a plurality of subscriber terminals accommodated therein. The display apparatus includes a display board having n indicator-keys, each for displaying the state of a subscriber terminal and an indication board having m indicator-keys, each for selectively indicating the states of n groups of subscriber terminals so that the states of a total of n.times.m subscriber terminals are displayed. Under control of the exchange, the display apparatus displays an incoming call and a recall terminated at an attendant console by lighting up the indicator-keys and flickering the indicator keys on and off, respectively. When an indicator-key which is displaying an incoming call or a recall is pressed, the subscriber terminal and the station line concerned are connected.

Abstract: A wireless hands-free conference telephone system includes an FM transmitter having multi-directional sound pick-up capability and battery power is adapted for remote wireless transmission of sounds originating in the area adjacent the transmitter to a unitary receiver, amplifier and voice switcher adapted for signal conducting connection to a conventional telephone system. The receiver portion of the unitary system is adapted for receiving the signal from the FM transmitter. The amplifier provides power to drive loudspeakers which radiate the sound incoming from the telephone system. A voice switching circuit is positioned between the telephone, the transmitter and the loudspeaker circuit, and is able to ascertain signal strength from the transmitter circuit and the incoming telephone line, discern which is the stronger signal, and increase the gain of that signal while decreasing the gain of the opposing signal.
