Speaker Mounting (i.e., Speaker Phone Feature) Patents (Class 379/433.02)
  • Patent number: 8792667
Abstract: Even when an audio component is mounted on a non-flat portion such as a level difference portion or a bumpy portion, the audio component is stably fixed so as to improve sound quality without requiring a space for improving the sound quality, such as an exhaust chamber, and without increasing the cost. For this purpose, when a mounting rear face area of the audio component covers the non-flat portion on a substrate on which the audio component is mounted, the audio component is fixed on the substrate with a strength retaining member in the shape of a thin sheet provided therebetween for cancelling a level difference against a rear face of the audio component in the non-flat portion.

Due to the design of the frame, a hermetic space is framed between the PCB and the main body, thereby preventing sound waves generated by the loudspeaker from leaking out via a gap between the main body and the PCB. Furthermore, the frame made of shockproof materials decreases the resonant transfer between the PCB and the loudspeaker. Consequently, the quality of the sound made by the mobile phone is improved.

Abstract: A document scanning device reads an image on a document while scanning the image, and generates image data based on the image. The document scanning device selects and sets a scanning speed in accordance with a transfer mode used when the document scanning device transfers the image data to another apparatus. The document scanning device controls the amount of generated image data by using the set scanning speed to successively read the image, whereby optimal transfer processing in accordance with the transfer mode can be performed. By switching a transfer path in accordance with the type of the read data, i.e., binary data per pixel or multilevel data per pixel, efficient data transfer can be performed.
