Abstract: The invention provides a system and method for analyzing a collection of communication messages. The communication messages may be any one of a collection of electronic mail messages, voicemail messages, instant messaging dialogs and other forms of communications. The collections of communications, such as electronic mail messages, may be selected by a user and then subsequently processed to determine the identity of any of the user's contacts within the communications. The contacts may then be arranged in a relative priority arrangement whereby contacts which have been identified as engaging in prior reciprocal communications with the user are given higher priority. Higher priority may also be given to contacts which engage in more recent communications with the user. Specific contact relationships may be inferred from the communications depending on whether specific contacts are repeatedly mentioned within the communication messages.

Abstract: A device equipped with a camera and microphone includes the capability to send and receive video calls through a delivery system or other communications networks. In response to detection of the occurrence of a video call event or triggering event, a video program is automatically paused. In response to an incoming video phone call, message, web page, or other video communications information, the system pauses the video program and indicates the occurrence of the communications event. The system also buffers the video program while paused, providing a user with replay capability. Alternatively, the system waits for a triggering event in order to pause the video program. The device may also include features for caller identification of video calls and dual display of video programs and video calls (e.g., picture in picture). A hardware upgrade for adding video call functionality to a device is also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for augmenting web conference sessions with multimedia content based on text extracted from audio content transmitted during the web conference. In one embodiment, a conference application or other application can receive audio content from at least one client participating in a web conference. The web conference can connect multiple clients for live sharing of audio and video. The conference application can also extract at least one text item from the audio content. The conference application can also generate augmented electronic content by combining electronic content received via the web conference with additional electronic content based on the at least one text item. The conference application can also provide the augmented electronic content via the web conference.

Abstract: A method and system for displaying and producing computer based documents seamlessly to users that relate to their telephone calls is provided. The invention is able to be used with social media, where the mobile station searches for the social media page of the caller based on the Caller ID and displays it to the recipient of the call on the mobile station screen, possibly with other Internet search results. The method and system allow the user to obtain the newest public information about the person who calls him or he decides to call, or any documents that might be intermittent between the people. The system adds “bandwidth”, i.e. speed, efficiency and more dimensions to personal communication, as the users of the inventive system can also visually see by documentation what is going on in the relationship between two or more people.

Abstract: The text of an incoming message may be scanned for language that matches in whole or in part the name of a stored contact and/or information indicative of a stored location. Each identified instance of language may be converted into a link. When actuated, the link may initiate an action relating to the information to which the identified language was matched, such as to call or send an email to a matching contact or to show a map of or navigating instructions to the location indicated by matching location language. When the identified language matches multiple contacts or is indicative of multiple locations, actuation of the link may result in the display of a menu of all of the matches so that the desired one can be selected. A list of possible actions may also be provided.

Abstract: An example apparatus is provided that receives a first message following conclusion of a voice call between a first apparatus and a second apparatus over a network. And in response to the first message, the apparatus obtains a geographic location of at least the first apparatus, and prepares a second message for transmission to the first apparatus. The second message includes a telephone number of a quality server to enable the first apparatus to initiate a voice call to the telephone number to participate in a voice quality test with the quality server, where the voice quality test includes calculation of a score reflecting a quality of the voice call. The apparatus receives the score, and correlates the score with the geographic location of at least the first apparatus and other network parameters obtained during the test to facilitate tuning the network based on the score and the geographic location.

In response, agents associated with the content identifier are identified. Status of the identified agents is determined. Agent identifiers are transmitted to the second server, the agent identifiers identifying one or more available agents, including a geographic location of the agents. A second request is received from a first user device of the first user, including an agent identifier identifying a first agent selected by the first user from the list and contact information of the first user. In response, a first message is transmitted to a first agent device of the first agent, the first message including the content identifier identifying the content item and the contact information of the first user.

Abstract: A method and system for providing context of a caller to a callee when a call is initiated is provided. The context system executing on the calling device collects context for the call. The calling device initiates the call and sends a message to the callee that includes the context. Upon receiving the message, the callee device notifies the caller that a call has been initiated and displays the received context. The callee can decide based on the received context whether to answer the call or not answer the call.

The transcribed text message is then sent to the wireless information device from the computer. Because human operators are used instead of machine transcription, voicemails are converted accurately, intelligently, appropriately and succinctly into text messages (SMS/MMS).

Abstract: A system and method for integrating voice and data operations into a single mobile device capable of simultaneously performing data and voice actions. The mobile device working in a network capable of exchanging both cell phone calls and data items to the mobile device. By wearing an earphone or an ear-bud device the user is capable of dealing with voice conversations while working with data centric information related to the current caller. By providing a data-centric device with voice capabilities there is a new range of features that allow incoming data events to trigger outgoing voice events.

The audio message identifies a first sender designated priority and a first recipient prioritization attribute. A delegate for responding to the audio message is determined. A delegation action identifier identifying a delegation action of a plurality of delegation actions is determined. A first delegation action directs a delegate to generate a response and send the response to the sender without notifying a delegator. A second delegation action directs the delegate to generate the response and send the response to both the sender and the delegator. A third delegation action directs the delegate to generate the response and send the response to the delegator.

Abstract: Systems and methods that, among other things, analyze and monitor the performance of a call center including performance of the interactive voice response (IVR) systems, call center agents, and other components of the call center. The systems and methods record characteristics of the call such as the audio data, and analyze that record to identify the events and the actions that take place during the call. A call center administrator may also identify a set of metrics, such as the number of dropped calls that occur during a day that may be monitored by the systems described herein. The data collected about these events and the resulting metrics may be stored in a database and provided to a call center administrator through a user interface that allows the administrator to browse through the collected metric and recorded call data and directly review relevant portions of a call.

Abstract: A communication system receives data that does not pertain to an attempted initial establishment of a communication. The communication system uses a new message format under an existing analog Caller ID standard. The communication system inserts the data (which can be in addition to existing Caller ID data) into a Caller ID message that uses the new message format. The communication system then sends the Caller ID message to a communication device/Private Branch Exchange (PBX)/contact center that can interpret the new message format. The communication device/PBX/contact center can use the data to further route the communication to a specific telephone and/or can use the data to display information such as Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates of a cell phone. The data can enhance the capabilities of devices and systems that currently work under the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN).

Abstract: A voicemail message management system and method are provided. A list of voicemail messages is displayed on a screen such as a cellular telephone screen. Indicators specify whether messages are new, urgent, saved, not yet heard, and the like. Other attributes can also be displayed, including for example indications as to source of a message, message duration, date/time, caller, urgent or private, and the like. These indicators provide guidance to the user for selecting which messages he or she would like to hear at a given time. The user can listen to messages, delete them, move them, categorize them, and perform other operations in any order the user chooses.

The intended recipient may select a preferred call routing option for the incoming call/message to be sent. Based on the real-time response from the intended recipient, the call/message may be routed to his/her preferred communication device.

Abstract: A campaign strategy manager (CSM) component for a hosted communications campaign system allows users to define more granular and specific campaign strategies, including pass escalation for alternative channels (e.g., text and email) and/or based upon attempt results, contact attributes and response group data. The campaign strategy manager allows users to define pass strategies statically and dynamically, to manage lists across multiple campaigns, and to view results in real-time. A defined strategy is a static strategy created by a user for a particular campaign that, once created, typically is not modified. A dynamic strategy is one where, during the course of a day (e.g., as a sub-campaign is running), a user may alter the defined strategy, preferably just for that day (or portion thereof). Abstract: Described are embodiments that provide for an intelligent call log. Specifically, in embodiments, a call log module can be provided on a user's phone (or as a sequenced application) that analyzes the actual communications between a calling party and a called party. The call log module is configured, in embodiments, to do analysis of the calling party's interaction with the called party, changes in routing, and/or failure to connect. The call log module is linked to the calling party's schedule information, in some embodiments, for situations with multiple failures to connect and/or multiple short discussions have inadequately dealt with the need to talk, and therefore scheduling a meeting is likely to be more effective.

Data-capable mobile devices query at least a public database to retrieve information about a set of parties engaged in communication. Storage can be included to include address book function, query caching, and user preferences. An interface can be provided to facilitate display of rich caller identification information. The interface can further update displayed information without user input, or provide user selection control to request more information on a selected portion of displayed information. In the method, a first terminal and a second terminal are respectively provided with opposing terminal's image data before the call is answered. The image data of the first and second terminals can be registered in a media server disposed between the first and second terminals, and the image data can be transmitted between the first terminal and the media server and between the second terminal and the media server in accordance with an SIP protocol.
