  • Publication number: 20140259456
Abstract: Woven, unfinished textiles or yarns may be made softer and more brightly-colored by a method which comprises treating a yarn to weave fabric by sizing the yarn to weave fabric; desizing the sized fabric; bleaching the desized fabric; reducing the number of electrolytes on the bleached fabric; pre-softening the fabric having fewer electrolytes; fabric printing the pre-softened fabric; and finishing the fabric printed fabric. • Patent number: 8595960
Abstract: A convenient wrinkle removing device that employs a pair of rollers to press unsightly and undesirable wrinkles from an article of clothing while in a hanging position. The device comprises a pair of rollers attached to a frame, the frame having a handle for the user to grip. A suspended garment is inserted between the rollers, which are capable of translation and free rotation. The rollers lock into an operating position, compressing the garment therebetween while still maintaining their free rotation. This operating position enables the device to press the garment as it is fed therethrough. A user passes the article of clothing through the rollers, wherein the device flattens and removes wrinkles that may exist in the fabric of the garment. A heating element may be provided to improve the pressing operation, while clips are provided to control the garment as it is being pressed.

  • Patent number: 4768451
Abstract: Method and apparatus for automatically and sequentially transferring and inverting preformed pocket-like fabric blanks from a first sewing station where a first seam is applied to an outturned marginal edge to a second sewing station where a second parallel seam is applied to the inturned marginal edge. A first pickup mechanism identifies, lifts, and transfers multiple ply fabric work pieces from the surface of a work table onto a spreading jaw mechanism by clamping on the upper ply or plies of the work piece with a pair of gripping fingers. The first mechanism is inserted between the plies and operable to grip the upper ply of the work piece, even where the confronting, unseamed, marginal edges of the work piece are not aligned. A second spreading jaw mechanism includes a pair of vertically spreadable jaws onto which the fabric blank is placed. A third inverting mechanism slides between the spread jaws to invert the work piece onto a split mandrel.
