Patent number: 10218515Abstract: The techniques described herein dynamically determine a new signature that is valid and that can be used to verify trust of an object (e.g., a certificate, an executable file, user credentials, etc.). The dynamic determination of the new signature is implemented by an entity performing a trust verification process. The entity can execute a single unified service to establish trust in the object. The dynamic determination, or the ability for an invalid signature to evolve into a newer version that can be trusted, is implemented in response to an invalidity event indicating that the initial signature is no longer valid for trust verification purposes. Example invalidity events can comprise the expiration of a time sensitive signature attribute (e.g., an expired private key), a recently discovered weakness associated with an individual signature attribute (e.g., a key of insufficient length), or a determination that a certificate authority can no longer be trusted.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2016Date of Patent: February 26, 2019Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Muhammad Umar Janjua, Mihail Frintu

Publication number: 20090008418Abstract: This invention relates to a driving device for the clothes press iron 4 or 14 for pressing a front side or rear side of the torso 3 for putting on the clothes 2 and press finish the clothes 2. The driving device of this invention is formed by the vertical-oriented cylinder device 5 oscillated in a forward or rearward direction of the torso 3 and the link device 6 fixed at the extremity end of the rod 5a of this cylinder device 5 to convert an extending or retracting operation of the rod 5a into an advancing or retracting operation of the clothes press iron 4 or 14. The main body 6a of the link device 6 is preferably set such that six link members 10 are connected in a substantial hexagonal shape as seen from the side of the torso 3 by the axle member 9 along a lateral direction of the torso 3. In accordance with this invention, it is possible to restrict a depth size of the finishing machine and a compact-sized finishing machine and its space saving can be attained.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 3, 2008Publication date: January 8, 2009Applicant: Sankousha Engineering Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mitsuyuki Uchikoshi

Patent number: 5604800Abstract: A multi-component system for linking a user to a product or service provider includes a user processing device, a storage device, and a provider device. The storage device stores provider-specific application software, user-specific data, and a file management program. The storage device and the processing device are coupled to each other to form a user device which communicates with the provider device. Under direction of the file management program, the processing device carries out a recognition methodology which determines whether the processing device and the storage device are authorized to operate with each other. This aspect of the system makes it possible to render the storage device operable only with a specific user processing device, referred to as the principal processing device. This, in turn, reduces the possibility of fraud since the storage device cannot be used without the principal processing device.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1995Date of Patent: February 18, 1997Assignee: ETA Technologies CorporationInventors: William C.
