  • Patent number: 10557230
Abstract: A ironing machine (1) comprising: an axially-rotatable ironing drum (4); a motor assembly adapted to drive the ironing drum (4) into rotation about the drum longitudinal axis (A); an ironing chest (7) which is arranged adjacent to the ironing drum (4), locally substantially parallel to the peripheral surface (4p) of said ironing drum (4); a supporting assembly (9) adapted to keep the ironing drum (4) and the ironing chest (7) adjacent to one another; and an induction device (10) which is located adjacent to the ironing chest (7) and is adapted to heat up, via electromagnetic induction, the ironing chest (7); said ironing chest (7) comprising a platelike member (13) which extends beside the ironing drum (4), is substantially C-bent so as to extend locally substantially parallel to the peripheral surface (4p) of said ironing drum (4), and has a multilayer structure that includes: a main supporting sheet (14) which is substantially C-bent and is made of a metal material having a given thermal conductivity; and a

  • Patent number: 6782645
Abstract: A safety guard system and deactivation device for protection of an operator of a garment press. A guard bar is manipulated in concert with movement of a press head between operative and inoperative positions. Manipulation of the guard bar reciprocates an activation device for sequentially activating actuatable valves which control the transmission of pressurized air to a head closing piston and cylinder for press head movement. A deactivation device is positioned proximal to the activation device to control reciprocation thereof. The deactivation device is retracted when pressurized air is interrupted to the garment press, resulting in restraint of activation device and deactivation of the actuatable valves, along with movement of the press head and guard bar to an inoperative position.

  • Publication number: 20020148145
Abstract: Trough mangles, which are used in commercial laundries, are intended to have the highest possible mangle performance. The mangle performance of known trough mangles is increased by a plurality of mangle rolls (10) being arranged one after another. Such a trough mangle then has two or else a still greater number of mangle rolls (10). Trough mangles of this type require the pieces of laundry to be transferred from one mangle roll (10) to the other. In practice, this often leads to operating problems.

  • Patent number: 4802662
Abstract: Processes for removing the top ply from a stack of plies, such as layers of fabric, in which an element engages the stack and moves relative to the ply to be removed along the face of said ply while pressure is inserted by the element on the stack in such a way that this is locally dented. The element used to engage the ply is provided with a smooth surface. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out this method having a single hollow element which is provided with suction openings or blow openings and can be moved perpendicular to its longitudinal axis.
