Abstract: The present application relates to a steam device comprising a steam generator (60), at least one steam vent (37) through which steam is emitted from the steam device, a steam path (50) between the steam generator (60) and the at least one steam vent (37). The steam path (50) has a base (53) along which scale is able to pass. The steam device also comprises a noise generator (60) configured to act on steam generated by the steam generator (60) to generate noise. The noise generator (60) is spaced from the base (53) of the steam path (50) so that scale is not obstructed by the noise generator (60).

Abstract: There is described an improved iron structure comprising a soleplate provided with through holes for steam adapted to come into contact with the fabrics to be treated, a boiler adapted to produce steam fluidly connected to the soleplate, a duct for introducing water into the boiler, heating means and a control button functionally connected to the boiler and arranged to obtain the delivery of steam through the through holes of the soleplate. In particular, the boiler is produced as fluid-tight coupling between the soleplate and a cover portion to form a boiler compartment in which the water is boiled and in which during use of the iron the hot water-steam balance is established.

Abstract: A system and method for using color to indicate a state of a home appliance, such as an iron. The iron has a sole plate and a water tank in fluid communication with the sole plate, a heater for heating the sole plate, a sensor for sensing a temperature of the sole plate, a user interface for setting a desired temperature for the sole plate, and a controller in communication with user interface and the sensor for controlling the heater. An illumination device under the control of the controller is provided to illuminate the water tank, particularly the interior thereof, in a color that is representative of a state of the iron, such as a power condition of the iron and/or a temperature of the sole plate.

Abstract: The invention concerns a flash iron comprising a water reservoir (2), a flash chamber (32) and a drip device having an axially mobile rod (4) whereof the total stroke comprises a first travel enabling the steam to flow towards the orifice (520) of a module (5) and a second travel moving the module (5) by opening a wider orifice (220) for water passing from the reservoir (2) to the flash chamber (32). The invention is characterised in that the tightness between the reservoir (2), the module (5) and the flash chamber (32) is provided by a first compressed seal, and the tightness between the rod and the module is provided by a second compressed seal, the two seals being parts of one and the same elastomeric component (52) borne by the module (5).
