Abstract: An ironing board having a table with a top surface to carry out ironing functions and opposing first and second sides bisected by a longitudinal axis and a frame extending form the table for supporting the table above a support surface is provided. The frame extends from the table between the first side and longitudinal axis and defines an open area beneath the table that is sized to receive a person seated in a chair to permit the person to carry out ironing functions on the top surface while sitting. The ironing board also includes a drying rack having a plurality of rungs slidably disposed on the table. A laundry sorter is suspended from the table and includes a receptacle with a plurality of dividers dividing the receptacle into a plurality of compartments.
Abstract: A improved collapsible ironing table assembly (10) of the type comprising a flat table top (11) having a peripheral framing member (12) extending therearound, a pair of spaced apart channels (13) extending longitudinally of the table top and secured to the underside surface thereof, and a pair of diagonally crossed pivotal support legs (17, 17') supporting the table top and movable between an extended working position and a retracted out-of-use position, the improvements being such that the table assembly can be collapsed to a compact approximately linear storage configuration in which the pivotal legs (17, 17') lie flat alongside one another nested essentially within the recess formed between the opposed channels (13) on the underside of the table top, the table when fully collapsed, having an overall depth which approximately equals the depth of the table top peripheral framing member.
Abstract: An ironing board that includes a main board and two swingable board extensions retractable attached to the main board. The main board comprises a relatively wide section and a comparatively narrow section forming a single planar ironing surface. The narrow section is adapted to telescopically receive a trouser leg, which can be rotated so that all trouser leg areas can be ironed. The swingable board extensions are adapted to receive the sleeve areas of shirts and blouses.
Abstract: An ironing table of adjustable height and adapted to be collapsed during storage comprising a table member of predetermined width having a front leg and a rear leg for supporting said table member connected thereto, together with a means for adjusting the height of said table, a transverse hollow tubular foot member for at least one of said legs is connected to said leg at the outer circumferential surface of said member, at least one hollow tubular sleeve means is located within said foot member and coaxial therewith, a pair of tubular extension members is located within each said foot member and coaxial therewith, wherein a portion of each of said extension members protrudes from the respective end of said foot member and cap members are located on the protruding ends of the extension members. In a preferred embodiment the cross section of the caps is sufficiently large to prevent the "bottoming" of the middle portion of the foot member when pressure is placed on the table.
Abstract: An embroidery hoop comprises an inner ring and a split outer ring circumscribing the inner ring. The outer ring is adjustable in diameter relative to the inner ring to bring the inside surface of the outer ring into abutment with the outside surface of the innner ring. A ridge and a mating groove provided on the abutting surfaces prevent lateral displacement of the rings and thereby enable the fabric to be stretched across either side of the hoop and to be embroidered on either surface. The ridge and groove also urge the rings together as the fabric is pulled taut within the hoop, increasing the bite of the hoop upon the fabric. Legs may be affixed to one of the rings for supporting the hoop on a supporting surface during embroidery.

Abstract: An ironing board supported by collapsible legs to which a box-shaped body can be connected either fixedly or in a removable manner. This body is provided with a specific housing suitable to accommodate an iron interconnected to a steam boiler by a fluid passage duct. The steam boiler may be formed directly in one of the collapsible legs supporting the board or carried, in a substantially vertical position, by one of said legs. Also, the steam boiler may be incorporated in the box-shaped body.
Abstract: An ironing board has adjustable legs providing a multiplicity of heights of the ironing surface to suit the height of the ironer. The ironing board is compact and may be folded flat for easy storage in confined spaces.
Abstract: A rounded pressing board substantially providing a line or point contact surface between the iron working surface and the bottom surface of a flat iron, thus reducing the force required to operate an iron and shortening the ironing time. The pressing board body is molded into a hollow shape by blow molding and the iron working surface of the pressing board body has a large number of projections to facilitate the application of steam to the cloth which is to be ironed and to provide the line or point contact surface.
