Abstract: An ironing board having a table with a top surface to carry out ironing functions and opposing first and second sides bisected by a longitudinal axis and a frame extending form the table for supporting the table above a support surface is provided. The frame extends from the table between the first side and longitudinal axis and defines an open area beneath the table that is sized to receive a person seated in a chair to permit the person to carry out ironing functions on the top surface while sitting. The ironing board also includes a drying rack having a plurality of rungs slidably disposed on the table. A laundry sorter is suspended from the table and includes a receptacle with a plurality of dividers dividing the receptacle into a plurality of compartments.
Abstract: To provide an ergonometrically correct ironing board (2) which can be readily folded and retained in folded position, the legs (7, 8) of the ironing board are coupled at a cross-over shaft (9) and each connected to a spacer element (18, 19) in which the spacer element is formed with a recess or groove or notch (17). A hand-operable height-positioning lever (15) which is coupled to a height adjustment mechanism (5, 4, 12, 13, 14) is also coupled to a locking lever (16) having a locking tip (22) engageable with the recess or groove or notch (17) in the spacer elements which are coupled to the legs (7, 8) when the legs are folded together. The locking lever (16) is spring-loaded to retain the legs in folded position; upon operating the height positioning lever (15), the lock is automatically released. For universal ironing convenience, the ironing board has a straight front side (67) which has a curved blunt end (69) with a curve radius of about 350 mm.
Abstract: An adjustable ironing table (11) includes a top board (12) and collapsible legs (14,16). The legs are retained in a stored position by a lock mechanism (60) that has a lock plate (68) spring biased to a locking position. A handle (72) can be operated to release the lock plate (68). The top board (12) has a mesh section (30) that has a stepped periphery (32) welded to a flange section (36) of a tubular frame member (35). The ends (37) of the frame member are affixed together by a bracket (41) welded to each end. A hanger rail (90) is pivotably mounted under the frame (34) to move between a stored position and a usable position. A pair of cord elevation devices (114) are mounted to the hanger rail (90).

Abstract: An ironing board that includes a main board and two swingable board extensions retractable attached to the main board. The main board comprises a relatively wide section and a comparatively narrow section forming a single planar ironing surface. The narrow section is adapted to telescopically receive a trouser leg, which can be rotated so that all trouser leg areas can be ironed. The swingable board extensions are adapted to receive the sleeve areas of shirts and blouses.
