  • Patent number: 8965023
Abstract: An audio source system may be built into a garment to provide wiring from an audio source to earplugs. The wiring is brought from a point of connection to the audio source such as at a pocket and is then brought to the garment opening by tubes such as may be sewn with normal seams in construction of the garment such as side seams, sleeves seams and shoulder seams, and then into a channel at the opening, which may be a simple neck opening or a collared opening or a hood (in which the channel extends around the hood opening). An auxiliary wiring may be connected to allow a second hearing device such as ear buds or earphones. Wiring may be equipped with spring biased coils to allow stretching.

  • Patent number: 8965032
Abstract: An audio source system may be built into a garment such as a hooded garment in such a way that safety concerns such as with a hooded garment for children are taken into account so that the audio system wiring cannot be made loose causing a danger of strangulation nor can the hood be cinched. This is done by putting speakers into the hood between a lining and an outer layer and passing the wires into the space between them and then into a tube that is open to the hood inner space and down the tube to a pocket in the body of the garment. Also securing tabs are used to prevent cinching action upon pulling the wire.

  • Patent number: 8891801
Abstract: An audio attenuation device for attenuating audio for transmission to an unborn baby includes a body and an attachment mechanism for attaching the body to an article of clothing of an expectant mother. The body is configured to receive at least one audio earbud that includes an audio producing side from which an audio signal is transmitted from the earbud. The body further includes a layer of material configured to be positioned in contact with the audio producing side to receive the audio signal from the earbud and to attenuate an intensity of the audio signal. The layer of material is configured such that, when the audio signal that is received by the layer of material has a maximum sound level of approximately 90 decibels or greater, the attenuated audio signal exiting the layer of material has a maximum sound level between approximately 45 and 85 decibels.

Abstract: Digital musical footwear is disclosed having hidden compartments which house a thin integrated multi-plane electronic circuit board assembly (2) and a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack. A transmitter antenna is attached to a hand held device such as a smart phone which antenna sends wireless short wave sound signals to a receiving antenna part of the circuit board assembly. Multiple mini-speakers (6, 7) are footwear mounted to play the music. Bluetooth® version 4.0 wireless protocol technology is employed in the circuit board assembly. The circuit board can be flat and hidden in a recess of a heel or curved and hidden in a wall recess of the footwear as can the battery pack. Advanced lithium ion batteries such as silicon wafer or silicon core-shell nanowire batteries may be used to reduce battery weight. Flexible flat speakers (65) such as the FleXpeaker® may also be used to further reduce weight.

Abstract: A stereophonic device for a bed disposed adjacent to at least a wave reflecting object is provided. The bed has an upper side and a lower side. The stereophonic device includes a loudspeaker disposed on the lower side of the bed. The loudspeaker is adapted to generate direct sound waves radially propagating therefrom. A part of the direct sound waves propagate through the bed toward the upper side of the bed, and another part of the direct sound waves propagate toward the wave reflecting object, reflected by the wave reflecting object and becoming a reflected sound waves. The reflected sound waves then propagate toward the upper side of the bed and demonstrate stereophonic sound along with the direct sound waves propagating theretoward.
