Abstract: A micro speaker capable of preventing voice coil rubbing, including an outer casing provided with a holding space, a diaphragm installed within the holding space, a magnet provided with an axis, a voice coil encircling the exterior of the magnet and connected to a diaphragm, and an elastic connecting member connected between the voice coil and the magnet. The diaphragm is disposed on the first end, and the magnet is disposed on the second end of the holding space so as to be separated from the diaphragm. The elastic connecting member is used to maintain a clearance between the voice coil and the magnet. After a signal voltage is fed into the voice coil, the diaphragm extends along the axis causing amplitudes of vibration, and the elastic connecting member reduces amplitudes of deflection produced along the axis, thereby preventing rubbing between the voice coil and the magnet from occurring.

An inner edge and an outer edge of the damper are respectively connected to a bottom surface of the diaphragm and the basket. The surround and the damper are disposed on the basket and at different horizontal levels. The conductor is located on a bottom surface of the damper. The diaphragm assembly can be pre-manufactured to improve the convenience of assembling the speaker. Moreover, the damper does not move up and down exceedingly along with the voice coil, thereby preventing the damper from contacting underlying components. In addition, the total thickness of the speaker can be reduced, which facilitates thinning requirements. Alternatively, an excursion length can be increased, which facilitates the low frequency design of the speaker.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, an electro-dynamic transducer is disclosed including a diaphragm, a first suspension suspending the diaphragm, a coil former attached to the diaphragm, the coil former having a first, inner portion, and a second, outer portion, arranged coaxially in relation to each other, a coil arranged around the outer coil former portion, a magnetic system, operable to magnetically cooperate with the coil, and a second suspension mounted between the inner coil former portion and the magnetic system. The new and improved way of placing the second suspension allows for a slim form factor, while stabilizing the system more than prior art designs. The transducer according to one embodiment of the present invention is less sensitive to rocking modes, and the gap in the magnet system can thus be made smaller.

Abstract: A speaker of the present invention includes the following: a diaphragm that includes an inner periphery coupled to a voice coil, and a corrugation provided at the intermediate position between the inner periphery and an outer periphery; a speaker edge for supporting the outer periphery of the diaphragm; and a damping member attached to an outer peripheral part of the diaphragm outside the vicinity of an outer periphery of the corrugation. The effective vibration area of an inner peripheral part of the diaphragm inside an inner periphery of the corrugation is substantially half or less of the total effective vibration area. The damping member is configured as a damping portion by extending an overlap portion of the speaker edge overlapping with the diaphragm to the vicinity of the outer periphery of the corrugation.

  • Patent number: 8111869
Abstract: A speaker device includes a damper allowing high linearity. The speaker device includes a vibration body including a damper and a voice coil bobbin (bobbin), and a magnetic circuit having a plate. The damper has a first member arranged opposite the plate, and a second member projecting on a side of the plate from the first member. The first member has a movable part elastically supporting the bobbin. The movable part is a flat plate, and behaves with respect to a bent part provided between the movable part and the second member with movement of the bobbin in an acoustic radiation direction and reverse. Therefore, when a constant force is given to the damper via the voice coil, a displacement of the damper with respect to a rest position can be substantially similar in such a case that the damper behaves in the acoustic radiation direction and the reverse.
