For Setting A Threshold Patents (Class 382/172)
  • Patent number: 12008827
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for assessing whether mobile deposit processing engines meet specified standards for mobile deposit of financial documents. A mobile deposit processing engine (MDE) is evaluated to determine if it can perform technical capabilities for improving the quality of and extracting content from an image of a financial document. A verification process then begins, where the MDE performs the image quality enhancements and text extraction steps on sets of images from a test deck. The results of the processing of the test deck are then evaluated by comparing confidence levels with thresholds to determine if each set of images should be accepted or rejected. Further analysis determines whether any of the sets of images were falsely accepted or rejected in error. An overall error rate is then compared with minimum accuracy criteria, and if the criteria are met, the MDE meets the standard for mobile deposit.

  • Patent number: 9424631
Abstract: There is provided a device for calculating dynamic variation of an object, comprising: an enhancement processing unit that adjusts brightness of a pixel determined to indicate a particle dispersed in the object in at least two (2) images generated for the object at different time points; and a calculating unit that calculates dynamic variation of the object based on correlation of the different two (2) images processed by the enhancement processing unit. Herein, the enhancement processing unit sets brightness of a pixel having brightness with a threshold value or higher for each of the images to reference brightness higher than the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 9396395
Abstract: In order to provide an image processing apparatus etc. that can precisely recognize multiple regions with density value fluctuation in an image with a simple operation in a process of recognizing a specific region from the image, a CPU performs threshold determination for a target pixel and the multiple pixels surrounding the target pixel (determination range) included in a three-dimensional original image by applying predetermined threshold conditions and specifies the target pixel as a recognized pixel when the threshold conditions are satisfied. The threshold conditions preferably apply different thresholds between a pixel on the same flat surface with the target pixel and a pixel on the other flat surface. By successively moving the target pixel (determination range) and repeating the above-mentioned threshold determination, it is performed also for the entire three-dimensional original image.

  • Patent number: 9105102
Abstract: According to exemplary inventive practice, a region containing an object of interest, such as a jet particle of a shaped charge, is extracted from a raw radiographic image. This regional image is filtered, and its pixel intensity range is rescaled to increase contrast. The filtered, re-contrasted image is converted to a binary image by setting a threshold pixel intensity, and assigning a binary pixel intensity of either 1 or 0 to each pixel, depending on its scaled pixel intensity versus the threshold pixel intensity. The binary image is inverted and filtered. Contiguities of binary-one pixels to binary-zero pixels in the inverted, filtered binary image provide the basis for delineating the outline of the object. The object's outline is superimposed on the object's portrayal in the original regional image, to assess the degree of match. Various threshold pixel intensities can be applied in plural iterations until a sufficient match is obtained.
