Abstract: Applications usually require users to present passwords as a form of identification in order to access user accounts. To improve the security and convenience for accessing such accounts, tokenized passwords may be used in place of or in addition to traditional passwords. Client devices retrieve password rules from an application associated with the user account, and retrieve token tables based on the password rules. The client device receives information from the user for use as a password seed. Using the password seed as an input to the token tables, the client device generates a tokenized password. The tokenized password is transmitted to the application for association with the user account. The tokenized password is not saved at the client device but is re-generated each time the user accesses the account, improving the security of the token-driven password generation system.

Abstract: This posture state estimation device is capable of estimating with high accuracy the posture state of an object. The posture state estimation device (100) is a device for estimating the posture state of an object having a plurality of sections connected by joints on the basis of image data that images the object, and has a section candidate extraction unit (140) for extracting a section candidate for a section from the image data, a complementary section candidate extraction unit (160) which estimates that a portion of an unextracted section for which a section candidate has not been extracted is being shadowed by an already extracted section for which a section candidate has been extracted in order to extract a section candidate of the unextracted section, and a posture state estimation unit (170) for estimating the posture state of the object on the basis of the extracted section candidate.

  • Patent number: 9632918
Abstract: One or more previous actual results are retrieved from a software test. The longest common subsequence of data of the one or more previous actual results is determined. The longest common subsequence of data is removed to create remaining common data. The remaining common data is classified resulting in a matched portion of data and an unmatched portion of data. Classification is done by dynamic programming. Matched portions of data are identical. Unmatched portions of data are different. If an existing class exists, unmatched portions of the remaining common data are applied to the existing class. A new class of data is created. The unmatched portions of the remaining common data not applied to an existing class is applied to the new class. An expected test result is created using the longest common subsequence of data, the matched portions of the common data, and the classified common data.

  • Patent number: 9626584
Abstract: Image cropping suggestion using multiple saliency maps is described. In one or more implementations, component scores, indicative of visual characteristics established for visually-pleasing croppings, are computed for candidate image croppings using multiple different saliency maps. The visual characteristics on which a candidate image cropping is scored may be indicative of its composition quality, an extent to which it preserves content appearing in the scene, and a simplicity of its boundary. Based on the component scores, the croppings may be ranked with regard to each of the visual characteristics. The rankings may be used to cluster the candidate croppings into groups of similar croppings, such that croppings in a group are different by less than a threshold amount and croppings in different groups are different by at least the threshold amount. Based on the clustering, croppings may then be chosen, e.g., to present them to a user for selection.

  • Patent number: 9626750
Abstract: An image processing device that performs image processing on a composite image obtained by merging a first image and a second image having different exposure conditions. A data acquiring unit acquires the composite image and region data indicating a target region of the composite image. A image processing unit performs different image processes between the target region and a region other than the target region based on the region data. The images include a region on which a moving subject is rendered. In the region on which the moving subject is rendered, the composite image is generated by using a pixel value of one of the first image and the second image. The region data represents one or a plurality of regions generated based on the region of the composite image, on which the moving subject is rendered, as the target region.

Abstract: Transfer learning is the task of leveraging the information from labeled examples in some domains to predict the labels for examples in another domain. It finds abundant practical applications, such as sentiment prediction, image classification and network intrusion detection. A graph-based transfer learning framework propagates label information from a source domain to a target domain via the example-feature-example tripartite graph, and puts more emphasis on the labeled examples from the target domain via the example-example bipartite graph. An iterative algorithm renders the framework scalable to large-scale applications. The framework propagates the label information to both features irrelevant to the source domain and unlabeled examples in the target domain via common features in a principled way.
