  • Patent number: 7780353
Abstract: A bag for retaining the warmth and crispiness of food items contained therein is disclosed. The bag is made of cellulose-based, oven-durable outer and inner plies that are adhesively affixed together by adhesive layers, a bag interior defined by adjacent faces of the inner ply, and at least one pocket formed between the outer and inner plies defined by adjacent adhesive layers. The outer and inner plies are pierced with a plurality of apertures such that the apertures pierced within the outer ply are offset from the apertures pierced within the inner ply by a predetermined dimension. Due to a temperature differential, vapors emitted by a warmed food item inserted in the bag interior are driven into each one pocket and remain within the corresponding pocket for a useful period of time. A process for producing the bag is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7631760
Abstract: The invention provides a dual compartment pouch having first and second compartments that are separated from each other by an impervious inner sheet having a breathable membrane. The breathable membrane comprises a breathable material that is pervious to moisture and gases, and impervious to liquids as well as microorganisms. The breathable membrane allows a sterilizing gas to be introduced between the first and second compartments. The front and back sheets are sealed to the inner sheet to define the first and second compartments in which the inner sheet forms a common wall between the compartments. The breathable membrane is disposed towards a central portion of the inner sheet and is spaced apart from the seams joining the front and back sheets to the inner sheet. In one embodiment, a sterilized article is disposed in one compartment, and an absorbent packets are disposed in the other compartment.

Abstract: A tamper-evident retaining device for use with articles of evidence having a base sheet and a secondary sheet connected along conjoined bottoms. A top closure includes a central panel secured along a top of the base sheet, first and second side panels extending from opposite edges of the central panel and pivotally opened in a first position. First and second side flaps extend from the sides of the base sheet such that, upon pre-placement of the evidence article upon the base sheet and subsequent folding up of the secondary sheet to overlay the base sheet, the flaps are inwardly folded to secure, in tamper evident fashion, said sides of said of said secondary sheet to said sides of said base sheet. The side panels are then pivoted inwardly and in overlaying fashion against the central panel in a second position to secure, in tamper evident fashion, the top of the base and secondary sheets.
