Patent number: 4961517Abstract: A cake decorating dispenser for simultaneously applying a plurality of adjacently positioned or contacting different icings or differently colored icings on cakes. In the decorating of cakes it is desirable to be able to apply a name or a message to the party to whom the cake is being given, such for example as "Happy birthday", and including the name of the party to whom the cake is being given. Hertofore it has been common practice to write the name of the party to whom the cake is being given in icing of a single color. It is recognized that it would be desirable to write the message, and the party's name in two or three or even more colors of icing dispensed in parallel adjacent ribbons of icing. It has been common practice to dispense the icing used to transmit the message from a cake decorating pastry bag having a decorating tip through which the icing is forced to flow to write the message on the cake.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 1985Date of Patent: October 9, 1990Inventor: Angela Tkac

Patent number: 4710967Abstract: A container or bag or sack essentially comprises a tubular fabric, in particular a circular fabric of polyolefines, having a double wall formed by turning in or partially inverting the tubular fabric. In addition, a cut extending downwardly from the folded or turned in edge is provided in the double wall, and the folded or turned in edge thus cut open is gathered or tucked all the way around such that this gathered inner wall-sections of the double wall form a suspension or hanging loop. A suspension loop is thus formed in a relatively simple manner. Practically all the warp threads of the circular fabric unite in the suspension loop, imparting to the sack possessing a load-carrying strength at least equivalent to the tensile strength of the fabric. The lifting strength of the suspension loop is considerably increased by the gathering.Type: GrantFiled: November 13, 1986Date of Patent: December 1, 1987Assignee: IMAG-Verlage AG fur ImmaterialguterrechtInventor: Goetz Petschner

Patent number: 4522305Abstract: Opening arrangements for packing containers which are manufactured from a flexible material and intended for pressurized contents, e.g. beer, are sometimes in the form of a tear-off cover strip which is sealed to the packing container wall and covers a pouring opening punched out in the same. In order to withstand the high internal pressure which is caused by the contents, the seal between the cover strip and the packing material must be strong, which detrimentally affects the openability of the packing container. By ensuring that the mutual bond between the different layers in the packing laminate is weaker than the seal between the cover strip and the outer layer of the container material, a readily opening packing container is provided, in spite of the seal between the cover strip and the packing laminate being of a strength such that the risk of leakage or unintentional opening is small.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1982Date of Patent: June 11, 1985Assignee: Tetra Pak Developpement SAInventor: Kenth Jacobsson

Patent number: 4411358Abstract: The invention relates to a package protecting its contents from the influence of light, microbial contamination and gas transport in either direction but which makes possible a visual control of the contents before the package is used.According to the invention, the package is made of a light-proof outer bag (1) and a light permeable inner bag (3) arranged inside the outer bag. The outer bag (1) and the inner bag (3) are each sealed at one of their ends (2,4) and are bonded around their periphery (6) close to their other end, and the two bags extend over this bond and are then commonly joined and sealed. By opening one of the end seals in the outer bag (1), the inner bag (3) can be turned out of the outer bag, and the contents (5) of the package can be observed visually through the inner bag.The package of the invention is especially suitable for storage of preparations for parenteral administration and especially infusion solutions intended to be given intravenously.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 1981Date of Patent: October 25, 1983Assignee: Vitrum ABInventors: Percy Bennwik, Birger Hjertman
