  • Patent number: 11833109
Abstract: A package has a bag body, at least one mouth part member bonded to the bag body, and a contained product being a liquid housed in the bag body. The bag body is formed in a bag shape by using laminates each having a sealant layer and a water vapor barrier layer composed at least of a fluorine-based resin, and by bonding together the sealant layers opposing each other so that the sealant layers are to be located on the inside of the bag body. The mouth part member is sandwiched between the oppositely facing sealant layers and is bonded thereto. The volume V of the contained product housed in the bag body is 0.1-20 cm3, and the relation between the area S (cm2) where the bag body is in contact with the contained product housed in the bag body and the aforementioned volume V (cm3) satisfies 0.05?V/S?0.25 (formula (I)).

Accordingly, when tearing a packaging bag for opening, stress concentrates on a thin portion having a small tensile strength, so that the packaging bag can be cut at a single cutting position in the thin portion. Consequently, no cutting fragment is generated. Abstract: The invention describes an arrangement of lubricating grease inside the housing of a gear unit with rotatable components, particularly the gear unit of a jack. It also describes a grease pouch for receiving lubricating grease and a method for lubricating the gear unit with lubricating grease. Since the gear units are often not transported in their installed position, oil that has separated from the lubricating grease may leak from any gearbox openings. Thus, one of the objects of the invention was to provide an arrangement of lubricating grease in the housing of a gear unit, which on the one hand provides lubrication of the gear unit so that it is ready for operation in its delivery condition and on the other hand effectively prevents the oil separated from the lubricating grease from leaking prior to initial startup. This object is attained by enclosing the lubricating grease within at least one grease pouch prior to initial startup of the gear unit.

Only laminate material from the outside of the selected panel is removed using the laser to create the frangible piercing point.

Abstract: Gussetted packages having openable and reclosable interlocking seals and a method and apparatus for making the same, the seals having male and female portions, snap detents, and formed transversely to the direction of film flow. The packaging film is provided at package length intervals with thermoformable strips secured thereto transversely to the running length of the film, and is fed to a modified standard vertical form, fill and seal packaging machine with gussets forming tooling where the film is formed into a bag with the thermoformable strips inside at the upper end of the bag, product deposited into the bag, the bag sealed, the reclosable interlocking seal formed, and the bag severed from the next bag being formed. The reclosable seal provides auditory and tactile indications of seal closing. Some packages are formed with the thermoformable strips in the gusset, and some are formed with the gusset free of strip material.

Abstract: A pouch construction has a flexible stand-up pouch having first and second opposite panels and a bottom or base gusset. The flexible pouch has a seal perimeter surrounding an open interior. In a portion of the seal perimeter, there is provided a peel seal region. The flexible pouch construction has an unsealed region, along a perimeter edge, spaced from the interior of the pouch by the peel seal region. As a result, in the unsealed region, the pouch panels can be spread apart allowing a straw or similar member to be pushed between the panels, in the region of the peel seal, to open the pouch for access to a drink contained inside. Methods of constructing such arrangements, and preferred pouch blanks that can be filled to form such arrangements are described.

Abstract: A sealed enclosure is provided with a valve at least part of which extends inside the enclosure and is formed between two flexible sheets extending between two opposed edges of the enclosure and being connected along two non-converging connection lines to define therebetween a duct upon spacing apart the flexible sheets from one another to allow the passage of a fluid between the inside and the outside of the enclosure. The sheets are arranged to be applied against one another upon ceasing of the application thereto of a force tending to hold them apart, thus preventing said fluid from leaving the enclosure. The sheets are sealingly connected to one another with each of the non-converging connection lines forming said duct at the opposite edges of the enclosure, the edges of the sheets adjacent to the inlet end of the duct being sealingly connected to the wall of the enclosure.

Abstract: A paper bag is provided with a closure flap (14) such that a portion thereof protrudes from the opening edge (11a) of a paper bag body (11), that is opened to allow the removal of its content. The surface of the portion of the closure flap (14) that protrudes from the opening edge (11a) of the paper bag body (11) is coated with a non-water-soluble hot-melt adhesive (17). An underlining paper piece (20) is previously affixed, with a water-soluble adhesive (21), to the wall surface area where the closure flap (14) overlaps when it seals the opening of the paper bag by reactivating the hot-melt adhesive (17) on the surface of the closure flap (14), thus making it possible to peel this underlining paper piece (20) off from the wall surface (11c) of the paper bag body (11) together with a split part of the closure flap (14). This configuration makes it easy to remove all pieces of the paper bag to which the non-water-soluble adhesive is adhered before recycling process.
