Abstract: A bag including two generally parallel sheets forming the main walls of the bag, complementary closure strips fixed to respective ones of the sheets, and a cursor for actuating the strips for closing and opening purposes. Parallel to the closure strips between the sheets, and level with the mouth of the bag, additional sealing structure in relief disposed on the insides of the closure strips, designed to provide sealing by forming a barrier between the sheets in the closed position of the bag, the additional sealing structure in relief being placed facing the flanks of the cursor to be urged towards their sealing position by the cursor when the cursor is moved towards the sealing position.

Abstract: Prior-art rubber hot-water bottles have a screw cap, which is arranged directly on the bottle body and forms a rather hard thickening there, which is felt to be irritating when the user is lying on the bottle. Moreover, a screw cap is difficult to use and must be screwed in with a certain force, which also requires corresponding forces for loosening. To avoid these drawbacks, it is proposed according to the present invention that a clamping means (23, 40), by which the bottle neck can be closed, be provided on the bottle neck (21) of the rubber hot-water bottle. Clamping means are simple to use and require only little force for closing. In addition, they can be opened easily and are very flat, so that they are not irritating. Furthermore, the bottle neck (21) may be designed such that the clamping means (23, 40) can be led away from the body of the user.

Abstract: A watertight closure for a reclosable package has first and second mutually interlocking profiles. Together, the profiles have two sets of interlocking members, one on either side of a central portion. There, at least one profile has a collapsible member in its central portion. The other profile may have a compressing member or a collapsible member opposite to the collapsible member, or it may have neither. In any event, when the first and second mutually interlocking profiles are joined to one another, the collapsible member encounters and compresses against the other profile to create a watertight seal.

Abstract: A fastener for a reclosable package comprises a flexible zipper and a string for maintaining zipper closure. The fastener may optionally further comprise a slider for pressing the string into a groove on the zipper and/or extracting the string from the groove. In one embodiment, the fastener comprises first and second zipper parts and a string. The first zipper part comprises a rib. The second zipper part comprises a first body, a second body and a narrow strip connecting the first and second bodies. The first and second bodies and the narrow strip define first and second grooves having respective openings on opposing sides of the second zipper part. The first groove is profiled to receive and hold the string, while the second groove is profiled to receive and hold the rib.

Abstract: A zipper closure for a reclosable bag has a male profile and a female profile, the male profile being snappingly engagable within the female profile to close the zipper closure. One of the male and female profiles includes a collapsible element which forms a hermetic seal between the male and female profiles when the male profile is engaged within the female profile.

Abstract: A flexible or semi rigid container having one or more openings, including, slits, slots, or shaped holes is sealed with a sealing apparatus. The sealing apparatus covers the openings and is attached to the container, sealing the openings and preserving the environment and integrity of the container. The sealing apparatus can have a visual indicator, which allows for rapid validation of the integrity of the seal.

The pouch is attached to a limb band which can be fastened to the wrist, upper arm, or ankle of a user. The limb band is made of stretchable material, and can be a cuff or a sleeve. The cuff embodiments have stretchable straps or bands that are either releasably fastened together at their outer ends, such as by use of hook and loop fastener material, or permanently fastened at their outer ends, such as by sewing. The sleeve embodiments are made of stretchable material, and are adapted to be slid into position over the selected limb portion of the user. In the sleeve embodiment for use over the upper arm, opposing holes pass through the wall of the sleeve to provide improved flexibility.

Abstract: A self-sealing disposable storage bag for storing perishable foods or biohazardous waste wherein the storage bag comprises a pouch having a self-sealing interlocking system extending longitudinally across, near an open top end, the open top end having a main opening contiguous with an evacuation opening, each opening having a separate and independent cooperative pairs of interlocking strips to make up the interlocking system. The interlocking system also includes a pliable gasket seal and a defined groove of predetermined interlocking strips for providing a true airtight seal when the main and evacuation openings are closed. A tapered barrier as defined above the evacuation opening for providing a corridor that receives a suction conduit having a corresponding tapered flange end which engages the tapered barrier and facilitates the evacuation of air from the storage bag when the main opening is closed.

A valve neck is formed integrally with the valve head and is secured to the exterior side of the preselected panel so that it allows air being forced out of the bag to lift the valve head from the aperture formed in the exterior side of the preselected panel.

Abstract: A bag comprising several side panels, a bottom panel and a top panel with a filling opening is made by stitching together opaque fabric webs forming the aforementioned panels. The bag includes seams which are formed by turning up edge regions of the fabric webs and in which at least one sealing strip of material is inserted and stitched to the fabric webs. To obtain increased sealing tightness of the stitching, the strips of material are of yielding construction and have an isotropic structure. The side panels of the bag may be constituted by a tubular one-piece fabric portion.

Abstract: A bag for storing articles includes a pair of overlapping closure flaps. One of the flaps is water resistant. The other flap is a mesh flap which permits air to circulate into and out of the bag. One flap or the other can, at the user's discretion, be used to close the bag.

Abstract: A disposable container for cleaning outdoor barbecue grills is disclosed comprising a flexible, generally rectangular, reclosable plastic bag having opposing front and rear wall panels joined together at the bottom and opposing side edges in a fluid tight relationship and reclosable at the top edges by interlocking male and female profiles. The bag contains spaced apart vent means and filling means extending through a wall panel in the upper portion thereof below the interlocking profiles. Drain means in the lower portion of a wall panel is optional. A dirty grill is placed in the bag and the profiles are locked. The vent means is opened and a cleaning agent is added to the bag through the filling means. Once filled, the grill is cleaned by the cleaning agent within the bag. The bag is drained through the vent or drain means and the grill rinsed with water. The bag is drained, the grill removed and the bag is disposed of.

Abstract: A leak resistant toothless plastic zipper is provided. The closed end of the zipper fused together and/or is secured in position by a clamp from which a gasket extends toward the open end of the zipper to engage with the zipper slider in sealing the gap that would otherwise form at the zipper closed end. A hook is provided to secure the tab of the zipper slider in sealing engagement with the gasket when the slider is at the closed end. The gasket may be disposed about the zipper elements or interposed between the elements. A bag incorporating such a zipper is also disclosed.

Abstract: There is disclosed a bag assembly comprised of a tubularly-shaped bag preform formed of a plastic material defining a top closure portion and a bottom closure portion and provided with an adhesive layer peripherally-disposed about the tubularly-shaped bag preform proximate the top and bottom closure portions. The top closure portion and the bottom closure portion are subsequently formed with corner folds and side folds with the side folds being dimensioned whereby end portions of said side folds are spaced apart from one another upon subsequent folding agent about a fold line. A conduit member including a sleeve portion is mounted on one of the corner folds of the top closure portion by an adhesive layer portion disposed on the corner fold, and sheet members are thereupon mounted over the side and corner folds by adhesive layer portions thereon. After folding of the side fold members about the fold lines, top and bottom closure sheet members are mounted on the top and bottom closure portions.
