Abstract: The invention relates to a spindle rotor which should be operated without vibrations. The orientation of the figure axis is accepted and the anchoring of the rotor bearing (SL) is configured such that the orientation of the geometric rotational axis adapts to the physical main axis of inertia. It is possible to produce said bearing in the form of an actively controlled bearing, whereby the orientation is measured and is dynamically carried out, but also in the form of bearing comprising passive elements which are associated with the external ring of the bearing and enable a correspondingly dynamic orientation of the bearing. Said device can also comprise a special damper (T) which dampens the vibrations of the bearing (SL).

Abstract: Arrangement for a tool spindle with a pulling rod (3) axially displaceable in the spindle axle (1) for firmly attaching a tool at the spindle of the tool whereby the end of the pulling rod (3) that is opposite to the tool is accommodated in a stationary unit (4), the rotating part (1, 3) is provided with a piston (11) movably displaceable in a cylinder chamber (13) arranged in the spindle axle (1), the pulling rod (3) has at least one first axial bore (12a) opening into the cylinder chamber on one side of the piston (11) and at least one second (12b) axial bore opening into the cylinder chamber on the other side of the piston (11), the stationary unit (4) is provided with an inlet (16) in communication with the first bore (12a) and an inlet (14) in communication with the second bore (12 b).
Abstract: A ring spindle assembly and process for re-lubricating a ring spindle having a vertically arranged bearing housing with a closed bottom. A step bearing is arranged in an oil-bath of the bearing housing for a rotating shaft. In the bearing housing, at least two lubricating channels are provided above the desired oil level of the oil-bath. When the shaft remains in the bearing housing, oil is filled into one lubricating channel until oil comes out of the other lubricating channel. A certain amount of oil is subsequently sucked out through the lubricating channel, so that the oil reaches the desired level.
Abstract: A machine tool spindle is supported at its spindle nose in a front, rolling element mechanical anti-friction thrust and radial support bearing means. The middle and rear end of the spindle is supported in a magnetic radial rear bearing and further supported at a generally mid-position of the spindle by magnetic radial mid bearing. The two magnetic radial bearings provide radial suspension of the spindle and permit the spindle to slide freely. A spindle flange is axially forced by a magnetic axial thrust bearing to vary the pre-load of the mechanical anti-friction thrust and radial support bearing.
Abstract: A machine tool has a spindle with a splayed taper at the tool-holding tip, the taper expanding outwards in the direction away from the supporting bearings. Due to centrifugal forces, any cutting fluid (scattered by cutting operations) that reaches the surface of the taper tends to move on the surface of the taper and scatter away from the bearing, avoiding the intrusion of cutting fluid into the bearing. A flange having an internal taper matching the splayed taper of the tool-holding tip can be provided around the tip, making it more difficult for cutting fluid to reach the clearance between the tapers and further encouraging any intruding fluid to move and scatter away from the bearing.
Abstract: In the case of a bearing for spindles of spinning or twisting machines having a spindle bearing housing which contains a collar bearing and a step bearing for a spindle shaft which is provided with a driving wharve reaching over the collar bearing, it is provided that the collar bearing is a needle bearing, and that the driving wharve has an outside diameter of no more than 17 mm.
Abstract: A spindle is provided which is intended especially for use in the mounting arrangement of a spinning rotor within the spinning housing of a textile spinning machine. The spindle comprises an outer sleeve, two rows of balls disposed in cages, and a shaft whose external end portion is adapted to be driven by a drive arrangement for inducing rotary motion. The internal end portion of the shaft is disposed within the outer sleeve and forms a dynamically elastic portion of the shaft having a smaller diameter than that of the main spindle shaft. The spinning rotor is pressed on the dynamically elastic portion of the shaft. Between the rotor space, behind the spinning rotor and a compensation space, a rotary, or non-rotary, gasket is provided which includes a labyrinth knife.

Abstract: A low-noise (low "rumble") segmented bearing for high-fidelity phonograph turntables and the like. In a preferred belt-driven form, the bearing consists of four small, spaced polyurethane pads disposed so that the tension of the belt keeps the shaft in contact with all of them. A fifth pad supports the end of the shaft. The bearing is immersed in lubricant.
Abstract: A device for supporting the spindles of textile machines, in which a spindle support cartridge is radially held by means of a double system of elastically-yielding thrust members, disposed inside an outer casing for the cartridge, and radially acting on the cartridge itself.
Abstract: A yarn false twisting apparatus is disclosed which comprises a pair of rotating circular discs having cooperating friction surfaces for engaging a running yarn at a twisting zone. The drive system for the discs includes a drive component which includes a drive whorl and a coaxial drive pulley, and which is adapted to engage two separate drive belts. The drive component includes a unitary tubular drive member, a central shaft extending through and fixed to the drive member, a sleeve mounted to the frame of the apparatus and extending between the shaft and drive member, and bearings positioned between the shaft and sleeve. Also, the drive component is mounted to the frame by an arrangement which permits adjustment of the rotational axis of the drive whorl about a second axis which perpendicularly intersects the rotational axis, so as to permit accurate alignment of the rotational axis of the whorl along a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the tangential drive belt.
Abstract: Resilient high-speed rotor support, especially applicable to rotor shafts open-end spinning machines. The support is made up of a double-row rolling bearing, a rotor shaft, and a central sleeve for the bearing, as well as resilient damping elements disposed at the ends of the central sleeve and fixed within the housing of the spinning mechanism. At the stepped ends of the central sleeve there are fixed resilient damping elements by means of their radially inner annular parts, the external circumference of the damping elements, reduced by the height of the limiting gap between them and the housing, extends to the circumference of marginal orifices within the housing. The bore at the rotor end of the central sleeve is formed with a tolerance to provide a running fit with the rotor hub. The support of the invention is applicable especially in spinning machines operating with rotor speeds exceeding 60,000 RPM.
