  • Publication number: 20100215297
Abstract: A roller bearing cage for guiding rolling bodies in a rolling body bearing, which has multiple rolling bodies, two cage side elements, between which the rolling bodies are arranged, and which have multiple web appendages to guide the rolling bodies, and multiple connection elements that connect the two cage side elements. The azimuthal position of the connection elements defines a connection area. Exactly one connection element and at least one web appendage are arranged in a connection area. The connection element and web appendage are arranged in sections inside a radial interior of the respective cage side elements, the border of which is defined by the positions of the rotation axes of the rolling bodies.

Abstract: A rolling guide unit has a separator to adjust an interval between any two adjacent rolling elements. The separator is made to have flexibility or elasticity enough to afford any desired elastic deformation, even with keeping sufficient mechanical stiffness or rigidity to positively admit the interaction among the rolling elements inclusive of a circular shell. The separator is comprised of axially opposite end sides depressed inward to fit over the adjacent rolling elements, a circular shell to define an outside contour of the separator, and fingers lying in the depressions in a way extending from the shell towards centers of the depressions so as to make elastic contact with the rolling elements. Each finger has a surface facing the associated rolling element, the surface being made into any one of a depressed spherical surface, a depressed conical surface and a depressed pyramid surface.

  • Patent number: 7721874
Abstract: A roller chain for a linear guideway comprises: a plurality of spacers each having two retaining portions and two links, each retaining portion is a hollow structure for holding the rollers. The retaining portions are formed at both sides of the rollers, one side of each of the retaining portions is opposite to the rollers, and another side doesn't contact any component, so that each two neighboring rollers are separated from each other completely. Each link is an elongated structure located at both ends of the rollers and employed to connect the spacers together. Hence, the impact energy caused when the spacer is impacted by the rollers will be converted into elastic energy, which prevents the indirect impact of two neighboring rollers caused by the spacer therebetween, thus effectively absorbing the impact force while substantially reducing the impact-caused noise.

The variable cross section design of the pin enables the connector to have a plurality of ring-shaped portions with more than two different radial thicknesses, so that the distances between the respective rolling elements are different, and the frequencies of the respective rolling elements are also different, and as a result, the resonance sound pressure caused by the linear guideway and the machine are reduced. In addition, the variable cross section design of the pin reduces the manufacturing difficulty of making a relatively long connector.

  • Patent number: 6886983
Abstract: A linear motion guide unit is disclosed in which a rack-and-pinion arrangement is interposed between paired guide rails to keep a cage retaining more than one rolling element therein against falling off from the guide rails. In the linear motion guide unit, the cage arranged between confronting raceway grooves of the guide rails hold therein a pinion, which comes in mating with a rack lying in the raceway grooves. The cage is made therein with an aperture in which a thick portion of a pinion holder fits to secure the pinion holder to the cage. The pinion is comprised of a disc having teeth that come in mating with the rack, and a shaft serving as an axis about which the disc rotates. The pinion is held in the pinion holder, with the shaft being carried for rotation in pinion chamber in the pinion holder.

Abstract: A linear motion guide unit has a track rail of a pair of side walls on which raceway grooves are formed. In the depths or bottom of the raceway grooves there are cut deeply relief flutes, one to each raceway groove, where retainer bands to keep rolling elements against coming apart are allowed to step aside therein. The raceway groove is made in so specific form as to make it possible to produce the raceway groove and do the relief flute at the same time. The retainer band is installed in the slider, with stepping aside in the relief flute for linear movement relative to the track rail as the slider travels along the track rail. The relief flute is cut in a fashion at least one lengthwise flank thereof on the side nearer the upward opening between the side walls of the track rail is made slantwise to provide a tapered flank because of which the relief flute can be produced together with the associated raceway groove at a single process.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a ball connecting body for a ball screw or a linear guide-way, including spacers, guide linking members, and connecting members. The spacers are interposed between two adjacent balls, thereby preventing the two balls from hitting. The guide linking members are used for linking the two spacers, so that the ball may be maintained in a space formed by the guide linking members and the spacers. The connecting member connects two adjacent spacers. The total width of the connecting member in a direction of a connecting line of the two guide linking members is smaller than the total height of the connecting member in a direction vertical to the connecting line of the two guide linking members, so that the connecting member has an excellent bendable capability in the direction of the connecting line of the two guide linking members.
