Abstract: Disclosed are a process for separating an electrode for membrane-electrode assemblies of fuel cells from the decal transfer film and an apparatus for separating the electrode. In particular, during the electrode separating process, only an electrode is separated from the decal transfer film on which the electrode is coated, without any damage, by a freezing method for freezing the specimen on the deionized water surface, and thus, wasting the expensive MEA is prevented. Thus, mechanical properties of the pristine electrode can be rapidly quantified in advance, and therefore, long term durability evaluation period during developing MEA having excellent durability is substantially reduced.

Abstract: The invention refers to a steam generator for household appliances. The steam generator comprises a container having an inlet for water and an outlet for steam, and an electrical heating element fixed to the container. The container comprises a first part and a second part which are connected along a joint such that a critical pressure inside the container causes a slit to appear in a predefined section of the joint, said slit providing a security vent for releasing pressure.
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved steam cleaning device, comprising: a hand-held steam generator, a pole, a platform cleaning polygon housing, constructed by an upper lid and a lower lid opposite to each other, a steam-releasing apparatus disposed at the bottom of the platform cleaning polygon housing, indentation of the upper lid pivoted to clips, at least one wheeled body connected to lift said platform cleaning polygon housing off the floor; and a cleaning tool; wherein said hand-held steam generator can be selectively adapted to the pole, the platform cleaning polygon housing or at least one cleaning tool.
Abstract: A steam cleaner includes a housing, a head cleaning member fitted to an upper end opening of the housing, an electric heater received in the housing, a pump also received in the housing, and a water container secured to the bottom of the housing. The pump has an inlet connected to the water container, and an outlet connected to a water pipe passing through the electric heater. A nozzle is connected to the upper end of the water pipe. When the pump and the heater are activated, the pump forces the water in the container through the water pipe for allowing the water to be heated to become steam by the electric heater. The steam is sent out via both the nozzle and the head member to help kill bacteria when the head member is rubbed against an object in cleaning.
Abstract: A vaporizer having a heating chamber which may be quickly and easily removed and replaced when scale buildup interferes with the operation of the vaporizer. The vaporizer may have an improved electrode configuration, whereby the bottom portion of the electrodes provide most of the boiling energy. The vaporizer may be easily and safely maintained, as user access to the electrodes is prevented. In addition, a vaporizer is described having an electrode cartridge which may be quickly and easily removed for replacement or cleaning. A unique reservoir design provides for a flat or rising lip surrounding the main reservoir opening, which allows the reservoir to be compatible with dishwasher cleaning. The vaporizer may be provided with mineral salts to enhance the flow of electric current between the vaporizer elements.

Abstract: A power humidifier which supplies steam humidity to the air flow of a furnace system. Heater elements within a water reservoir heat the water to create steam supplied to the air flow. The humidifier is controlled by a microprocessor to ensure efficient operation while monitoring operating characteristics to prevent damage to the humidifier. The microprocessor ensures that the reservoir fills properly, the water level does not fall below the heating element, and that the unit does not overheat during operation.
Abstract: A vaporizer having first and second substantially parallel electrodes with upper ends connected to a voltage source and free lower ends projecting into a boiler chamber; a compartment defining the boiler chamber and enclosing the electrodes; and a locator mechanism disposed in the compartment and arranged to engage and position lower ends of the first and second electrodes, the locator mechanism including a plurality of guide surfaces inclined with respect to the first and second electrodes and arranged to engage and guide movement of the lower ends thereof into the compartment.
Abstract: An electric steam humidifier of the type which includes electrodes (58, 59) immersed in a tank containing water (5) includes an upper portion (10) consisting of a housing (3) closed by a cover (2), a lower portion (11) consisting of a housing (6) placed on a base (7), with the housings (3) and (6) being identical and positioned symmetrically in relation to a horizontal plane. The housings are joined to a structural element (4) made of aluminum and approximately U-shaped, with the arms of the U forming a space (40) for receiving the tank. The housing (3) contains a compartment (36) into which water is supplied and which includes an aperture (37) for evacuation of steam and an aperture (35) which is fitted to a filling aperture (54) on the upper surface of the tank (5). The tank includes on one of its side surfaces below the medial plane of the tank but above its bottom with a drainage aperture (55).
